Fidel Castro Dead at 90

Only a moron could imply that. I demanded that you use your head and try to discuss a complex situation without using mere black and white terms.

You continue to say "Merica good. Castro bad." because you have the mind of a caveman.
I think most people would imply that. And some things like Castro can be black and white.

Honestly, I would say you should go to Cuba to see for yourself, but because you hate America so much, you would be treated well.

Oh I'm sorry, you're right- it is sooooo complex. Castro built schools and gave people free medical procedures, and stuff.

Wow. I'd love for Chemmie to have a conversation with my in-laws explaining the good things Castro did.

He lives in his white hipster bubble complete with a morning read of DailyKos. He's a hilarious parody of a modern left wing lazy life type.

I too would love for him to drive to Tampa and explain this to the Cuban-American families who had to escape Castro. I'm sure his superior knowledge on this subject would correct their way of thinking.

...and you continue to put words into my mouth. Please show me anywhere that I said anything Castro did was "good". Please show me any comment I made that shows support or love for Castro.

Like I said earlier: you halfwits are unable to discuss American policy in the region and the affects it had on multiple countries, including Cuba, and how those countries compare to Cuba today. You can't do it. You lack cognition. So, you just keep making things up and saying "Castro bad."

If you'd like to discuss Batista or Pinochet or El Jefe, or how Cuba's economy compares to other countries that survived American and European imperialism in the region like Nicaragua or Haiti or even Jamaica, then feel free to dazzle me with your knowledge.
Or, you can just say I'm dumb and bury your heads in your ass, believing the U.S. never supported ruthless dictatorships just like Castro, and still don't.

You lose when you spout off with "American imperialism" in Nicaragua, Haiti, and Jamaica.

Of course 85 agrees with you.
Is the cool thing now to just be pretend that history never happened?

No one would debate that there were US troops on the ground. The fact that your implication that America is an evil Imperialist nation for any action beyond its borders without addressing context is the problem with your statement.

If you can't trust a kids words first hand from the boat then you're just manipulated by the Communist indoctrinate. Too bad Castro wasn't killed sooner. Unfortunately our country's laws are too civilized for that despite our cultural infrastructure collapsing within.

That about sums up your level of knowledge on this subject.
Not a single mention of Batista, Pinochet, Noriega, El Jefe, etc...

Morello's comment has nothing to do with communist sympathizing, and everything to do with viewing Castro's revolution as a huge middle finger to tragic U.S. foreign policy in the region.

You should read and learn some things for a change instead of getting all your talking points from Fox News.

The only reason why Fidel turned to Marxism was Che. Che was the real actor in gaining support from the USSR. Cuba was a satellite puppet of the USSR, the only way Fidel had a government with any clout...a symptom of Soviet imperial expansion. So, commenting on American imperialism in relation is pretty laughable. The only way Castro gained power was following Che's lead. It was a revolution based on genocide....go look at how many died simply speaking against the revolution at the hand of firing squads. What did Batista do by comparison? Get Rich via the mob? Removal of Batista, in hindsight, DESTROYED Cuba's infrastructure. Much like the removal of Hussain in Iraq and it's following parallels leading to a tyranical "government". Batista was the lesser evil by a longshot. Under Batista people could own property and leave the country...Castro and Che turned it into a prison-island, why...because some folks had more than others? The island was vibrant. Now it is dead on the inside. Some people getting out of poverty, is better than NO people getting out of poverty and living by the rule of a military regime.

"We are not Marxists!" -Castro

Addendum: Morello (extremely over-rated guitar player that throws things on his strings to make funny noises with intermittent pentatonic blues-riffs) is a socialist POS that has defended Castro tooth and nail in the mid-2000s around the time of Michael Moore's "Dude, Where's my Country" book release...because he is in the book...defending Castro.

I don't disagree at all with what you're saying. That's what is funny. So many others in this thread jump on board any comment that THEY perceive as pro-Castro, even if it isn't even close.

My original comments were about Morrello's quote “there is ample reason why he is vilified in the US and yet remains a huge hero throughout the Third World."
This is what brings up Batista, Pinochet, etc... U.S. involvement in Central/South America and the islands caused many Third World nations to view Castro as a hero. Much like the USSR used Castro, we used many others in the same region the regular citizens end up being the victims from BOTH sides.

Yeah, sucks some people lose, starve, and possibly die. Can't save them all...you can please some people some of the time, but not all. Wouldn't want to either...that would spell doom for the species from a supply/demand viewpoint and sustainability. Anyway...

What 3rd-world countries saw Castro as a hero? Cambodia? Katango? Vietnam? Venezuela? Columbia? Yeah...they are still or now close to being 3rd world...Especially Venezuela. OR, non-existent.

The best part is his 1970's russian built vehicle dying while taking him to rest in hell. Soldiers had to push it to cemetery. Hope he enjoys the brown side of the sod, and Satan's Bunsen burner warming he backside.

I've been to California a bunch of times. If you go to Cuba, pack toilet paper.
