Gaetz throws down the gauntlet

None of those people are "off kilter" leaders. Just because you disagree with policies doesnt make them off kilter, it just means you disagree with their policies. There are plenty of Republicans who I disagree with their policies, but I still think are serious people and serious politicians. Gaetz, MTG, Boebert etc offer next to nothing other than making sure they are plastering themselves all over TV saying obnoxious shit.

I don’t like MTG or Gaetz but I think they’re actors. Crenshaw called them grifters and that’s probably accurate. They have a sect of people who want them to play loudmouth clowns and they oblige them.

The left’s “oddball” members are much more dangerous. They are career anti-Semites, radicals, socialists, and people who are openly advocating for policy that would be deeply harmful to the US. They’re serious about their positions too. Nancy Pelosi propped them up not too long ago for a front page photo op implying they run DNC policy.

You just proved my point by calling people that are avowed authoritarian socialists, anti-semitists, conspiracy theorists, and someone that is a racist who has called for violence against Republicans multiple times, not “off-kilter.” You need to seriously look at the leadership of your party.

This is all hyperbole. You guys think anyone who wants policies that cost money are socialists, and I dont know where the authoritarian part comes in. I dont know what conspiracies you are talking about, and the anti-semite thing is just more hyperbole trying to paint Muslims as anti-semtic. Waters has said some dumb stuff, as has Tlaib (as have many politicians) , but they also arent on TV everyday and they also actually work to achieve things.

I dont understand why you think all of these people are anti-semites. I mean, Schumer and Sanders are Jewish, but they hate themselves? A photo op isnt implying they run the party. In reality, they all tend to bend towards what Pelosi wants, not the other way around.

Lol. "This is all hyperbole. You guys think anyone who wants policies that cost money are socialists"

Well done.

You don't think that is hyperbole?
Considering the post I was responding too brought up socialists, which included some pretty moderate Democrats, no I dont.

Let’s just take Maxine Waters for one. You don’t think she’s “off-kilter?”

It was thrown out when they charged a dnc operative with extortion. Bro, turn off cnn.

He is still under investigation. It also wasnt a DNC operative who extorted him, it was a conman who had done this sort of thing before.

How? Has she some stupid things here and there? Sure. Would I describe her ass off kilter? No.
You would be fine with Marjorie Taylor Greene telling people to harass anyone they see from the Biden administration anywhere they see them in public?

Maxine’s comments telling people to “stay in the streets” and “fight for justice” if Derek Chauvin wasn’t found guilty were so out of bounds the presiding judge in the case said they may cause problems for the state on appeal.

Marjorie Taylor Greene harassed the Parkland kids herself. What Waters said is nowhere near as crazy as what Greene actually does.

YOu can argue she used a poor choice of words, but I dont think that makes her off kilter.

Except he isnt. Thats like saying cnn is investigating him. Or hillary clintons dnc is investigating trump for russian collusion. They all got caught on an extortion attempt.

but carry on believing cnn clowns
So when did the investigation end? Because as of late October, they were adding prosecutors, not ending anything.

To add, the extortion was because of the investigation. I dont think you really know the story. The extortion came after it was known Gaetz was being investigated, and a guy started trying to get money promising he could get make it go away.

And the difference between you and me… I have no problem calling MTG a moron who I hope gets primaried and loses her seat, while you can’t bring yourself to say anything more than Maxine arguably “used a poor choice of words.”

Maxine was without a doubt trying to incite violence if the Chauvin verdict was not guilty. You think she’s fine.

I'm talking about "The Squad", which is comprised of serial anti-Semites like Talib and Omar, and their far left radical friends that back their views and embolden their anti-Semitism.

These 16 Democrats voted against the resolution to condemn BDS. You’d expect Rashida Tlaib as an American of Palestinian descent to favor BDS and she does. But this list also includes the co-chairs of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and a co-chair of the House Democratic Steering Committee. Oh, and 3/4 of The Squad.

  • Earl Blumenauer (D-Oregon)
  • Andre Carson (D-Indiana)
  • Debbie Dingell (D-Michigan)
  • Jesus “Chuy” Garcia (D-Illinois)
  • Raul Grijalva (D-Arizona)
  • Pramila Jayapal (D-Washington)
  • Barbara Lee (D-California)
  • Betty McCollum (D-Minnesota)
  • Gwen Moore (D-Wisconsin)
  • Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York)
  • Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota)
  • Chellie Pingree (D-Maine)
  • Mark Pocan (D-Wisconsin)
  • Bobby Rush (D-Illinois)
  • Rashida Tlaib (D-Michigan)
  • Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-New Jersey)

What makes her a moron?
What doesn’t?

Her general attitude and tone is completely counter to productive governing. She’s a grifter and a troll and panders to the culture wars. She’s absolutely no different than Maxine Waters in that way.

The sooner both parties purge themselves of cancers like MTG and Maxine Waters, the better.

I agree. But at least Waters has the excuse of being 83. MTG is truly a nutjob.

People talk about our President's advancing age but he's a hell of a lot more together than Waters, Feinstein, or Grassley. If you've heard ANY of these three speak recently, it's truly cringe-worthy.

Criticism of Israel does not equate to anti-semitism anymore than critism of Saudi Arabia equates to anti muslim. Israel is a country and a has a government, we are allowed to criticize them if we feel it necesseary.

And for the record, there are 10 current Jewish Democrats in the Senate and 25 in the house. There are no Republican Jewish senators (and havent been since 2009) and 2 Jewish Republicans in the house. Biden received 76% of the Jewish vote, to Trump receiving 22%. So it is pretty ironic that the party that elects Jews and who Jews overwhelmingly vote for you guys constantly paint as antisemtic, but the party who gets hardly any Jewish support and elects very few Jewish people isnt.

Anti semites how? Give actual examples, and no, criticizing Israel does not equate to anti-semitism. Im sorry but they arent part of the "blood and soil" and "jews will not replace us" crowd, that would be on the other side.

Being 83 is not an excuse for telling people to form mobs and confront ANY members of the Trump administration they see at a gas station or restaurant or anywhere else… and that they’re not welcome in public anymore.

It’s not an excuse for telling people to take to the streets and get more confrontational if they don’t get a guilty verdict in a criminal trial.

Age isn’t an excuse for bad behavior.

You cherry-picked a few Republicans and expressed dismay. I cherry-picked a few Democrats in leadership who are every bit an issue.

BDS is not "criticism" of Israel. It is a full-fledged anti-Israel movement and much of it is built on anti-semitism. Israel is the ancient homeland and was set aside after the atrocities against the Jewish people. It is synonymous with the religion as it was created expressly to provide a nation for persecuted Jews. KSA is nowhere near the same thing. We have US Congresspeople that openly support ME entities that state the removal of Israel and all Jews from the face of the earth. So, yeah, it is significant when they refuse to condemn a movement rooted in that same hatred.

It is always a wonder why American Jews vote with the party that doesn't support Isreal and has very vocal anti-Israel members.

Again, Israel is a country. You might not agree with it and that is fine, but it doesnt equate to anti-semitism. I mean Israel has political parties and opposing viewpoints just like we do. There are many people in Israel who dont even support many of their policies, are they anti-semitic too? Disagreeing with someone doesnt automatically equate to hating that person, group, country, etc, it just means you disagree. And we are allowed to disagree with goverments/people no matter their religion.

Secondly, it isnt really that much of a wonder. Republicans dont support Israel because of their love of Jewish people, they support it because it plays to Evangelicals who think Jesus is going to return there. You are looking at it through the eyes of Republican Christianity, because that is how the Republican party sells it. But Christianity and Judaism might be related, but they are completely separate religions. So why would Jewish people be drawn to a party that heavily supports and governs based on an entirely different religion? Plus, most Jewish people in the US like a separate of religion and state.

Here is an article that goes into it.

If a politician took the position that we should boycott, divest, and sanction every sub-saharan African country, would you say that they are anti-black?

It would depend on the reasoning behind it. I mean, we did all of this on a much larger scale with Cuba, but does that mean Americans are anti- Cuban? No, it means we didnt like their government. You guys are way over simplifing the Israeli/Palestine situation. You are ignoring all the things that people actually have an issue with, and just dumbing it down to "they must hate Jews".

Democrats need to be more supportive of Israel and its leaders.....like Trump. :)

But for some reason, I bet they dont try and paint Trump as an anti semite.

Cuba was an enemy of ours, not an ally. Cuba’s government oppressed its own people and murdered thousands upon thousands. It’s a far cry from Israel.
