GAMEDAY! UCF Visiting ASU!

I am so sick of seeing us get so close in so many games the last three years only to lose it due to bad coaching. There has been NO IMPROVEMENT. This is what we’ll get from a Gus-coached team, every year. We either get used to being the cellar of the Big XII or Terry grows a pair and at the very least demands significant changes.
The tv crew pretty much said Arizona State had no business being in that game

Even w a better QB in Rizk UCF will NEVER compete for a Conference Championship with Gus as our Head Coach.

In 2011 while we were trying to find a QB we went 5-7. We kept finding ways to lose that season. We lost games by 7, 7, 21, 2, 7, 1 and 7.

This team reminds me so much of that team. It was torture seeing talent but it not executing. That said, I thought Rizk played well for a kid in his second game on the road against a 6-2 team.

Also Rizk reminds me more of Bortles than Milton.

One bad mistake backed up by inept special teams play but I am a fan and hope he stays at UCF. It would be nice to have a QB1 be from Florida preferably playing for a new Head Coach.

And the one bad mistake should've never ever been in his hands. Run the ball go to the half, end of story.

I hear you.
I see effort since Rizk has been playing so unless Gus leaves on his own...I'll support him into next year.
Next year he better be gone if it's the same sh!t.
I can't even get excited about next season if Gus is still our coach. I'd feel completely stupid. I was more excited about MAC games in 2003 when we burned Steven Moffett's redshirt than I can be about a Gus Malzahn lead UCF team. I turn red watching him chew gum on our sideline in UCF gear.

The freshman from Jacksonville reminds me a bunch of Bortles. Unfortunately, Gus will run him off too.

Gus has to go down as the worst coach in Ucf history. I know this upsets some but he’s been given everything, a talented roster a lot of money and all the facilities to succeed.

No man has ever done so little with so much since Elton John married that hot blonde lady.

It might be a good idea to let him get his 4 games (I think he has one more) and then red shirt him so that we can get four years out of the young man. He is from Cocoa, and I believe he is very dedicated to UCF as he came aboard as a preferred walk on.

The Cocoa guy never came to UCF. He went to Oklahoma St or something. Rizk is from S Florida and was always on scholarship.

What is everyone's opinion on how Rizk did? I thought he did pretty well. I don't even hold the INT against him because he teammate put him in a terrible situation on the goal line.
He was accurate and on time, and showed good poise. Is he the best we can get over the next couple of years? I still think we can do better. But can he keep developing into a qb to lead us to a big 12 title? I think so, if we can get the pieces around him.

The pick 6 was really his only freshman mistake, and I don’t put that completely on him given the circumstances. That should never have been called as an RPO, should have just been a straight run to give them some room.

So we have two true freshman and a redshirt freshman that have been recruited. There's no way we need to use the portal to bring in a loaner qb who most likely won't do anything with a damn. If these guys can't be potential starters then we shouldn't have recruited them and both Colson and Trujillo should push Rizk for the starting role next year.

The following is an interesting and not very flattering article by Alex Scarborough, ESPN Staff Writer concerning Gus at Auburn. In many ways I see similarities during his time here at UCF.
