Greg McCrae

Taj’s was higher
Not as many carries to qualify. He only had 71
McCrae had 133. Additionally, many of Taj’s runs for TDs were on the goal line. Not being that goal like, short yardage back makes McCrae’s numbers even more impressive

Warren for Cincinnati inflated his percentage based on that as well

I understand Taj didn’t have enough carries to qualify for the graphic, doesn’t make his number less meaningful.

Also, not taking anything away from McCrae.

You’d be surprised to know that McCrae had 26 carries with 1-3 ytg for a 1D/TD. Taj only had 13 (almost an equal split of their carries % wise)

I broke this down for every UCF back. (Not trying to spam my twitter), but I’m not rewriting everything. The context behind the % probably means a little more than the number as pointed out by saying Taj short yardage guy.

133 is nearly double 71. That’s a significant difference. I’m pretty certain that another 62 carries in the middle of the field would have brought that number down significantly

How many carries did they have of 2 yards to go for a 1D/TD? 1 yard to go?

Sample size doesn’t make the number less meaningful? Since when?

:100points:agree...... sample size does matter, precisely why the qualifier is minimum 125 carries...... And absolutely red zone situations can easily skew these numbers.......

Would a RB having the minimum number of carries limit the potential for red zone carries to skew the rest of the stat? Because 125 is so much more than what would allow an athlete to just specialize in the red zone/short yardage situations?

In the context of this stat it doesn't really matter. The stat is for rushes resulting in a 1d or TD for a RB with a minimum of 125 carries......not short yardage, goal line, or red zone type specialists......

One huge advantage of using both AK and McCrae is that opposing teams have to practice against BOTH...and since they are totally different runners...its to UCF's advantage...and then add in UCF's fast tempo offense...the other DL's get tired in the 3rd Q...and that's when many McCrae's biggest runs take place (2nd half).

I don't care who starts...just like the rotation and fast tempo speed...as it keeps both RB's fresh.
Bring on the pro set.

What are Trystan Hill’s rushing percentages for 1D/TDs ? :joy:

Lies!

All he’s doing is looking to go 1-0 this week - he’s not looking beyond that!

Beware AAC!

So Devin White from LSU runs a ridiculous 4.42 40 yard dash and McCrae makes him look like he’s standing still on his TD run. Hmmm

For what it’s worth, Devin White is 6’0 237 lbs

Not 6”2. 245-255 as we were led to believe

Big difference there.

Dude might be smaller than we thought but he can ball. He played well in the Fiesta. Will be a first rounder for sure

Yeah. He’s a great player. Mostly making a comparison about our guy.

Devin Bush from Michigan ran a 4.43, but damn he’s 5’11”

These guys are going to be limited somewhat by their height

True. It will be interesting to see what McRae runs. Hopefully he goes from walk on to draft pick. He’s only a junior right? Could leave this year with 3 of the starting OL

He’s going to be a junior. Good thing about Frost guys are that they are built for college and not prototypical NFL running back size. Fortunately, most will play 4 years

I thought McCrae was in the 4.45-4.50 range

I would have to think now that he’s faster than that.

I’m more excited about him in 2019 than any other player. Hope he stays healthy. I got my #30 Jersey!

Lower bowl Cabana seats are awesome. I’m never giving mine up it’s a big party. UCF’s Gameday experience has improved every year. Just a little too crowded now. They will have to expand the Cabana at some point

I was able to upgrade from section 127 row 15 to section 128 row 8. Unfortunately I'm moving a few thousand miles away so I hope I can resell them.

Anybody have a breakdown on the process/best way to resell tickets?
