I said it before and I'm saying it again, Harris is the QB that needs to be starting. He is by far the better QB and I don't know why GOL doesn't use him

Yep he was great today if you had him on a fantasy team. All those garbage time TD passes against a second team defense really racks up the fantasy points

All that garbage time also helped Key pad his stats. Look at the offensive explosion at Tulane from Brent Key's dynamic offense! 31 points! Things are looking up! [sick]

He was playing against Tulane's 2s and 3s

and didn't Harris suck against Furman? He got a lot of snaps in one of those terrible home losses

If Holman's not ready, clearly, he should start our next game...

I say start Harris and save Bo for garbage time. They burned his redshirt so might as well give him some much needed confidence going into next season. He's had his share of starts and knows what to expect now lets give him some confidence back and get him playing during garbage time against 2nd and 3rd teamers and especially if were losing.

What i notice about Harris though is he seems like a specific set type QB - out of the shotgun, with targets doing simple slants. He had that one play where he scrambled and got the TD so he likes to improvise but other than that he appears limited and thats not good for someone who has spent two years with the program.

Harris was great in garbage time

Let's go with Holman and don't look back. We need some QB mobility out there.

Due to work, the only game I have seen was the Stanford game and the end of the Furman game. But you guys who have had the opportunity to watch the boys play probably have more insight than I do, but when I saw Harris play, he looked a lot more comfortable on the field. Against Stanford, Bo looked really nervous. Harris came in and just looked comfortable out there. Sometimes it takes half a season or so for a QB to calm down and adjust to the speed of the game. We have to go 6-1 just to be bowl eligible this season. I don't like our chances at pulling that off, honestly I thought 6-2 would have been a stretch. But if a postseason bowl is out of the question, I would really like to see as many of the young guys getting some meaningful snaps. Let Bo go out there and continue to struggle, but continue to get experience against this level of talent. By the end of the season, he will start to come into his own. His improved play will push Hollman to get better (develop some freakin' touch). Also, play the hell out of the young WR's. There is plenty of talent out there, they just need to get some experience. Hopefully we can get the injury bug out of the way this year and stay relatively healthy the next couple of years. Even if we have some injuries we should have plenty of people with game time experience.

For those who watched the game, did the O-line play any better? I just remembered one of the other thread titles mentioned negative 36 yards rushing or something like that. Holly frack!!!! George, who is the O-line coach? After 1 and 1/2 seasons of piss pour O-line play, maybe we should think about moving in a different direction there. Don't give me the excuse that they are young, I get that. UF brought in a bunch of young guys and while they may not be mashing people up front, they are getting efficient line play. Why can't we? Some of these guys have been in our program for 3 or 4 years now. What happened to Hiers, I heard he hurt his back, how serious is it? (sorry for the alliteration)

Should Al Golden not survive this season and Art Kehoe be let go, pay whatever it takes to get him. He is IMO the best offensive line coach in the country hands down. Even in their down years, Miami could still run the football and his ties to the South Florida community would be huge for us.
