The victim was unarmed. They discovered a knife after the fact in his car.Try not to be involved in domestic violence disputes and emerge armed with a knife and you probably won't have cops up in your space attempting to make an arrest.
The police report said he told them he had a knife in the car.The victim was unarmed. They discovered a knife after the fact in his car.

He wasn't lawfully carrying a weapon.I agree with all you’ve said. Again, I still haven’t made the time to watch the videos and read all of the articles. But someone’s reaction to the situation plays a role. Someone walking down a street and someone lawfully carrying a weapon both have the same rights to do so. If the person walking down the street decides to fight with police and reach for their gun, then that is a tragic decision with very small likelihood of a deadly turnout (People resist with force all the time and police restrain them all the time and no one is injured). If the guy with the gun, when confronted with the possibility of violence flees rather than fights, then he has made a decision to avoid violence (fulfilled his duty to retreat) and so should be treated differently (assuming of course that all of the legal facets were met for him to be carrying a weapon and a whole swath of others).
It’s complicated, though, and that’s why we have a court system and why the wheels of justice turn slowly. Because we need to get it right. Whatever the outcome is in either situation, we need to take the time to get it right and not bow down to the pressures of emotional “justice.”
Shoot them all in the back. You woke? Get poked! One of the dudes is a sexual predator that was put down by police. Normally would be cheered to get rid of him since he offers nothing to society. But now we woke!
It was a hypothetical.He wasn't lawfully carrying a weapon.
Coming from someone who convicts people of being guilty before all of the facts are out, I'm not sure I would agree with your version of humanity.up until this point I have mostly just had different opinions on things with a lot on the other side but we aren't arguing about taxes anymore. the stances many of you are taking are basically just horrific. we have a little under half our country that has lost sight of what it means to be human and an American. I'm out this bitch until I see people start to regain that humanity. yall are lost for real.
I'm honestly not sure why I come here sometimes. I've seen a lot of bad opinions on this board but nothing has disgusted me as much as the people on here who downplay the deaths of unarmed men and now protestors. yall really just cool with people being gunned down by vigilantes as long as it supports your politics. some of you need to really think about where your ****ing humanity went and when you lost it.
Coming from someone who convicts people of being guilty before all of the facts are out, I'm not sure I would agree with your version of humanity.
Its actually worse than that.So basically, we have a woman beater with a long arrest record, who had an open warrant for domestic violence (aka beating women), who was in the process of again beating women, who then resisted arrest and assaulted officers when they went to arrest him, was tased and yet kept going, and then ran to his car to retrieve a weapon that he had stashed under the seat.
And somehow the cop is the bad guy here and we have lunatics burning down cities.
You’re not saying Blake was fleeing, are you? It's pretty simple as the Supreme Court has already ruled on when it is acceptable to shot a fleeing suspect.

This is why Jacob Blake had a warrant out for his arrest
The cops involved in the shooting of Jacob Blake were attempting to arrest him for violating a restraining order stemming from an alleged sexual assault, The Post has learned.nypost.com
The last time Jacob Blake "visited" this woman, he raped her. Then stole her car and used her ATM card to take money out of her account. Thats why there was a warrant out for his arrest.
And Biden is meeting with this thugs dad, who is a known anti-semitic racist. WTF?He's a serial rapist who abused this woman for over 8 years. Let's make him a martyr.
Steve Bannon? Steven Miller? And Biden is meeting with this thugs dad, who is a known anti-semitic racist. WTF?
No, Jacob Blake Sr. The difference between him and the 2 guys you named is the fact that he has actively called for the extermination of white people and jews in particular while the other 2 have been accused of being racist based on their political positions.Steve Bannon? Steven Miller?
Serious rapist? Others here have called him a pedophile? He's a serial rapist who abused this woman for over 8 years.
Rapist? It's sad and pathetic when posters feel compelled to tell bald-faced lies to support Trump.Biden literally met with a rapist that assaulted police officers today and encouraged him to keep pushing forward. WTF?
He raped this woman while a toddler was sleeping in the same room. How are you defending him?Rapist? It's sad and pathetic when posters feel compelled to tell bald-faced lies to support Trump.
I'm not defend this guy's criminal actions, I'm calling out all this serial rapist bullshit. He raped this woman while a toddler was sleeping in the same room. How are you defending him?
It was far more than resisting his arrest and when he reached into his car into a spot where a weapon could’ve been hidden after all of the resisting, he got himself shot. It was a fully justified shoot.Serious rapist? Others here have called him a pedophile?
Both claims are bullshit.
The guy is certainly no sweetheart -- he's charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend (with whom they've have three children together) and trespassing (visiting her home when she had a court order against him) and theft (stealing her credit card to withdraw money) -- yet people here still felt compelled to 'up the bad guy ante'??? Apparently even you guys believe those criminal acts -- and let's not forget, resisting arrest -- didn't justify being shot in the back seven times.
I totally agree. Quite honestly I'm not sure where you are coming up with the pedophile thing though. Nobody here called him that to my knowledge.I'm not defend this guy's criminal actions, I'm calling out all this serial rapist bullshit.
The guy has been charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend and baby Momma of his three kids. That's certainly bad enough without the need to play the serial rapist / pedophile game nonsense that's going around.

Did you not get the inter-office memo? To be labeled a rapist, you have to do it more than once AND to more than one woman. California defined that yesterday. No actually I read the arrest report with witness statement directly from his ex girlfriend (his victim) who stated herself that he raped her in March, robbed her, and had been sexually assaulting her and robbing her at least twice a year for the past 8 years.
So no I’m not saying anything, I am repeating exactly what his victim said he has done to her, which is terrorize her for 8 years with sexual violence and theft.
Nobody wanted to have or are celebrating anybody getting shot. Both Rittenhouse and Blake made choices that put them in their respective situations, and that goes for the 3 people that were shot as well.No one is going to defend this lowlife conduct. But typically, this kind of shit falls under the umbrella of domestic abuse / assault.
However you want to describe Blake, he didn't deserve seven bullets in the back. And whatever fawning terms you want to use to describe Kyle Rittenhouse, two people didn't deserve to die from bullets from his AR-15.
Blake's choices justified seven bullets in the back???!?Nobody wanted to have or are celebrating anybody getting shot. Both Rittenhouse and Blake made choices that put them in their respective situations...
Justified? Standing on the sidelines its pretty easy to say no he didn't deserve that. On the flip side, he already demonstrated a threat to people around him and was getting into a vehicle with 3 children so stopping him in that manner may have actually saved lives. There is no hindsight to rely on other than extrapolating based on his history of violence.Blake's choices justified seven bullets in the back???!?
He sure as hell made a lot of bad choices that day, but none of them warranted that response.

I guess it's easy to say that from your perspective. Nearly every one of these killings involved an officer engaging the victim while they were just living their lives not bothering anyone. Not everyone makes good decisions and many people choose the wrong decision every time when under pressure. We all know people like this. Just the presence of law enforcement creates a pressure situation.
No.., just one effective onehe didn't deserve seven bullets in the back
