Ironically the capitalist US is sending aid to socialist Venezuela

well they are trying to send aid. the socialist gov there is doing their best to block the aid.

Yeah, Husk, screw any aid.

Let's make sure we have MORE desperate families 'invading' the U.S. seeking asylum.

My point was a socialist country needing aid. This country would actually be booming with a capitalist structure.

Since you brought it up I don't agree with the US borrowing money then give to another country as aid. That is just me though.

Yessirree, it's much better to borrow billions more on border security and foreign wars.

You're not going to see me defending massive deficit spending. We need to do a lot of cutting and general upgrades. There is no way with automation we can't do massive cuts to government employees.

I don't disagree with you that we could benefit from a careful analysis of our budget. Yet for all the Republican hand-wringing about our federal expenditures during the Obama years, where is the political will do look at the budget now?

Hell, thanks to our Republican President taxpayers ended up paying a huge number of government employees for doing nothing for a full month for crying out loud. How's THAT for fiscal conservatism?

The plan in Washington among fiscal conservatives is to grow the tax base, thereby equalizing the budget. The libertarian sect wants to cut spending and taxation to reach the same goal. Fiscal liberals, aka the democrat party, have no interest in balancing it out. Their motivation for increasing tax revenue is to redistribute those dollars in a thinly veiled attempt to advance socialism.

Here's a question for you, Crazy: Who was the President and what party did he represent the last time we balanced our federal budget?

You got any actual sources to back up the conjecture you threw out as facts. The conjecture you ALWAYS throw out as facts.

I would love to know how fiscal conservatives are planning to grow the tax base.

I dont claim them to be facts. The perception that I get, based on policies, is that the 'conservative" portion of washington would like to continue spending like we have been but fund it through free market principles. Make the pie bigger and take the same portion of it. Libertarians want to take a smaller portion of the pie as it grows. Liberals see the pie as if it is static but need to take a larger portion. I know that comes across as very simplistic and a little bit trite, but it really is a good metaphor.

Lol. You absolutely present your statements as facts but would be better off trolling like Hudk and everyone else in here.

The idea of fiscal conservatives growing the tax base is 100% laughable. The U.S. birth rate is the lowest it’s ever been. Without immigration, it ain’t gonna grow.

Population growth is only part of the equation. I agree with you that we need population expansion but more importantly we need to increase money velocity. That can be acheived in a few different ways, but increased taxation isnt one of them.
