Knightline NOW: Frost: Opt Out of Oregon ASAP

If Frost is offered the job he is gone. Money and the opportunity would be too good. What did he get out of UCF this year that would make him want to stay? The half full stadium for most of the games? It's embarrassing.
I said it the week of but the O'leary statue during his first season was a stupid idea and I'll stand by that.
The UCF Bubble seems to do the opposite of what the rest of the CFB World thinks, Most dislike O'leary: Build a Statue. While the same people funding that statue are making snarky remarks critiquing Frost in Year 1 while everyone else is praising him for the turnaround.

Those are the same people donating a lot to the school. Of course they want to make them happy.
sure but it was a distraction that wasn't needed for a first year HC turning around the Culture of the Program.
The whole staff worked hard to make these players FORGET about the last regime.
I don't know if it was a distraction to the team at all but back to the point Frost isn't leaving.
for a Coach that we all hope succeeds and sticks around for a while praising the guy he replaced this soon is not good optics
back on topic most of the speculation has 3-4 names ahead of him on who Oregon may want
Ya a little...it's an important time on the recruiting trail...don't want it to effect us.
No way he leaves. Kinda glad the Oregon job is open NOW, as opposed to next year or the year after when Frost has proven himself.
If we lose our coach, then we have more to worry about than a few recruits.

I have a strong feeling from Frost's comments since arriving that he doesn't have completely fond memories of Oregon. He'll never say that outright. He has too much class. Coaching at Oregon has clearly been a learning experience for him, too. There are things about being the public face of the team that he's been handing better while also discovering that each coaching position and venue comes with its own special challenges.
I think he was being unfairly used as a scapegoat for Oregon fans when there was any hiccup with the Offense post Mariota. Also there are rumors that Frost didn't agree at times with his boss on recruiting targets.

I woke up at 5am'ish and turned the TV on. WESH news just hit their sports segment and their first item was that Gator Coach Mcelwain (sp?) announced he isn't going for the oregon job. I was like wtf? Thought of this thread. They did cover the UCF basketball game but nothing about Scott Frost denying any Oregon rumors. Whatev. Thought it mirrored this forum thread. Carry on.
On the flip side I head Taggart is in the mix for that job. If he left I could see Charlie Strong at USF.

Bianchi has been an ass about this. He's mentioned it a few times now over the past few months
I think Strong is going to take at least 1 year off.
He'll make more money not coaching for 2 years than being HC at USF bc of the Texas buyout rules
