Today I had lunch with Dean Moore. At the end, we started talking about his musical experience. I told him how I thought the band sounded so much better this year. I felt in years past that the band was not very loud. He mentioned a previous band director bought what many felt was an inferior brand of instruments. This is the first year they are completely changed out and they have added about thirty new members.
I mentioned that our group could not stand another Santana medley and appreciate the new music selections. This weekend selection of songs was actually hand done by Dean Moore and will be a selection of Chicago songs.
We also got to talk about steel drums and our experiences in Trinidad. He is very passionate about music and a very skilled musician.
