get use to QBs like JRP under malzahn he likes sucky QBs who can run. he made it to the national championship game playing with a DB at QB so now he thinks that's the answer to everything and has had pathetic QB play ever since. how are you going to have Keane and JRP go through training camp and make a conscious decision that JRPs style is better for you. if your system requires a QB like JRP then you have a bad system.

7 seconds with everybody dropped back, you can definitely hit a sidelines route to get in fg range. Just complete lack of awareness from JRP. This is the time for Gus to put his money where is mouth is. This game screams out Mikey
JRP isn’t even trying to QB run ..he is literally useless if he is not willing to do that.

Why would he be saved for our most important games, he would just have been the starter all year. It makes no logical sense.
Won't matter if we lose and don't get there. Too much worrying about the future and assuming we were just going to automatically win the next 2 games. Do what needs to win the game RIGHT NOW, then adjust.

Refusing to play makes McClain leaving USF look more professional. He didn't take up practice reps and now they have a young QB ready to play.
Receivers have also been open all game but JRP either misses the throw or has no idea the receivers are open in front of him. Seems he always looks to the sideline route if he’s getting pressured.
Gus and everyone see this. The root of the issue is, Gus doesn't want Keene long-term. Everyone and their mom know Keene is the better thrower.
Fair...It's becoming more of a player's league. It's not the same league it used to be 10 years ago
Even if Keane comes in and plays this game and we win, Gus will still start JRP ahead of him for the next 2 to 3 games.
