It starts strong, but ends on a slow note. Tribe is my favorite hip hop group, so a couple songs actually brought a tear to my eye. Without Phife and Dilla, I didn't expect greatness, but this album does its job. A solid way to remember the group.
As one would expect, Phife is on it, but not regularly. More like a Q-Tip solo album, with guests. Some great social commentary in areas, too, but I wouldn't expect any of you racists to understand.
Not a while lot of nuance lyrically. There are some funny verses, but it mostly sounds like a conversation you'd overhear at a Waffle House at 2 in the morning. The beats are kind of lame, but sound like Tribe.
So basically, it's not musically or lyrically compelling. However, it's still more intelligent than most of what the hip hop world is currently throwing out.
