If this choice ends up to be a major letdown that was made to save money, we’ll never accomplish crap with Terry as AD. We’re finally in the P4 with an opening at HC and we’re not aiming as high as possible? Please greatly suprise me, Terry! No more retreads or unproven G5 coaches.
Agree on no retreads but every other choice is a risk . The Coaching market is not as clear as it was a few years ago or when we hired Frost
UNC, UCF doesn’t have much money . He’s not staying at Tulane…he has one bad and year and the opportunity is gone.
Everyone that’s an insider said they’ve known for a couple weeks. I don’t get why they don’t say it. If you want people to pay you for info, give a reason. Not say, oh I knew this weeks ago.
Because they have no idea.....like the guy who considered himself an insider because he attended a few practices 15 years ago. They don't come out with it so they won't be exposed as fools.
I sort of disagree. I actually think Sean Beckton needs to stay and possibly Hinshaw as a QB coach.
Was Beckton on the staff? What was his job description? Hinshaw did nothing to develop any QBs in the past 2 years.

Gus Malzahn is a good coach and good coaches come from middle class families. Gus is a man and he knows how to coach. Coaching is a job where you coach kids and sometimes coaches do good things. I like Venn diagrams and if you look at a Venn Diagram you will see where the circles intersect and that place is good place to be. Gus Malzahn is where the circles intersect. UCF needs to be unburdened from what was to be burdened by what can be.

Thanks for asking. Our vacation rentals came out with flying colors. Our chocolate stores were also undamaged. The real damage was economic. Our sales took a huge hit . We were down 54% in October in our stores and in our rentals we lost half of our October bookings too. The flooding in Dillsboro came up to our building but not in it. Again, I appreciate you thinking of us.

I got to listen to 'the bridge' with Marc Daniels and The Donkey, er Bulldog, and Marc said he knew before hand he was going to FSU but didn't spell the beans any further than that. No speculation on who they can hire other than Bianchi mentioned Scott Frost. Marc may know what's happening but didn't say anything.

internal hire would be bad optics and not help ticket sales
Hinshaw came on board literally 2-3 weeks before the season started. This year he's been trying to develop multiple players but we kept switching the QB1 position around. It was Jefferson, then Brown, then Colson, then Brown, and then Rizk. He should be coaching all of the QBs but you spend more time with QBs 1 and 2. I felt like we started seeing Rizk make better decisions towards the end of the season but he is still young and the only way he will get better is playing time. I believe Hinshaw should be retained for a year and show us what he is capable of. He's the only one that I felt got the short end of the stick from Gus. He was never on the inner circle for Gus. He called plays last year and did well because he focused his time JRP. I personally felt that Gus screwed him over by not letting him call plays. If we are scrambling between 4 QBs all season, Hinshaw would know best what his QBs are capable of. That is just my opinion of the guy.
Marc probably can't say anything because he is the Director of Broadcasting. I would assume he has an NDA that says he cannot speak about things until the school announces it or it breaks via another source (ESPN).
Pure speculation though, I don't see UCF going back to Frost. I'm hoping for the Tulane coach but wouldn't be surprised if we picked up someone like Rich Rodriguez. Personally, I want to see a Defensive Coach that turns the reigns of the Offense over to his Coordinator. However, I don't see that happening.
I want to see the school hire a great Strength and Conditioning Coach and two good Line Coaches. A good OL makes a mediocre QB look good and a good QB look great!
Don't need to check either from what I've heard Gruden has already driven over from Tampa.
