New QB

For me, it will be the most interesting QB battle in our program's history without question.

Keene will be better, but by how much?
Can JRP learn to throw the ball accurately, just enough, to take over?
Is Castellanos the Gus prototype we all think he is and does he pull a DG, grabbing the start as a freshman?
Does Wydner, standing taller than anyone, sling the rock so well in Spring that he makes everyone question everything?

Lots of cool storylines!
Does Navarro make one last stand to try to get the job?

Probably the most open competition since 2008.....of course that turned out just great

I think 2019 had a tougher battle and had immediate challenge of meeting 2017-2018/Milton expectations.

Mack Jr. (Had arguably UCF's best conference championship performance) vs. Wimbush (more high profile and experienced as starter than JRP) vs. Gabriel (Almost impossible to expect another Freshman to perform how he did).

No question in my mind that the QB position will perform better in 2022. The question is how much, and I believe it will be significant. BTW, I don't believe Wydner is participating in the Spring, but he will certainly show his passing skills in preseason and, with those skills and his physical traits, will probably earn a spot in the competition. But the spring will be interesting, with the 3 above going head-to-head. JRP has to be the favorite but going in, he's no guarantee and that's why competition is so important with this group. May the best man win!

Keene will need a ton of improvement to win the job.
Keene does not appear to have that strong of an arm but that could change. All other things being equal I like bigger QB's because they usually are more durable. Of course there are always exceptions to the rule.

I would say JRP has the tools to take the job. But i woildnt rule out Castellanos

Rocal was effective, very effective, at running the Wild Knight!
