We're finally seeing Trump showcase at least one (1) of his "New York Values" (many are Libertarian-based). It's the reasons I've always hated Sessions as his AG pick, as Sessions is in complete opposite to us Libertarians.
I don't think Conservatives realize that most of the bi-partisan "Crime Bills" of the '90s are not always viewed positively by all Conservatives today. Even my father, a registered Republican, sees the 'police capabilities' taking over, and how it needs to be reversed.
If one Republican can turn most Republicans away from this trend, which the Democratic party is starting to exploit in ways that we used to associate with Republicans, it's Trump. As always, I'll side with whomever improves freedom and civil liberties on each and every issue, individually.
