This isn't a Biden or DeSantis-created issue either, and it's why we Americans are made fun of by others internationally ... and with very justified reason.

Agree, other than the silent part. I don't understand why, but most people just want to be intellectually lazy and defer to the "experts", even when sometimes it's the kind of stuff that even an average person can understand and discuss.

That's my problem. I'm actually posting experts. But no, they weren't "real experts," like the "TV Doctors." And if they resign from the FDA, even if they were leading the SARS effort, they aren't "real experts" either.

I think the vaccine threads have been the perfect example of numerous people saying, literally, "I've never heard that," over and over. And we're still blaming the unvaccinated, or giving credit to the vaccines on why Omicron, along with the latter Delta sub-variants, don't kill as much.

I think 'Golden Rule' and 'consideration for others' applies, instead of government control.
That means, mask up, don't crowd people, but otherwise ... do what you want.

I'm still rolling my eyes when I see the sign that says you don't have to wear a mask if you're vaccinated.
As if that means you don't spread!

How about we just do the same thing we were doing 2 years ago and prior. Seemed to work out OK for a lot of years.

You mean back when people still realized that those who didn't get a vaccinate for flu weren't the only ones spreading the flu? ;)

I guess we went full-on stupid with things like 'herd immunity' and 'protect others.' Even today people cannot explain why we have mandates with science, but just say, "Because science says so!" (circular reference).

I don't know if that scares me more, or that we censor other experts if they don't agree with the official government line.
