College Football Playoff Revenue Distribution Policies
estimates of CFP revenue distribution for 2017-18 season from each of the following 4 components:
(1) Each conference receive $300,000 for each of its schools, as does each independent institution.
(2) Base amount of $54 million for each P5 conference and a $81.3 million pool for G5 conferences (ave. $16.3 million/conference, only 30% of what each P5 conference gets). Notre Dame gets $2.65 million, the other 3 independents share $928,500.
(3) A conference gets $6 million for each team selected for semifinals (no $ for nat'nal champ) and $4 million for each team in one of the 3 top non-playoff bowls (in 2017-18, Cotton, Fiesta, Peach Bowls). P5 gets all $48 million of this payout unless a G5 team makes top 4 (now virtually impossible)! G5 contractually barred from top 3 bowls.
Thus, a 12-school P5 conference averages $66.1 million vs. only $18.8 million for the AAC.
[Chump change always exceeded by expenses: (4) Each conference whose team participates in a playoff semifinal, national championship, or one of the 3 top non-playoff bowls get $2.25 million for expenses.]

Yeah what you posted is the same as when it was signed. It's basically 75/25 split base.

Nope. That's over 3.5 to 1, and worse still for the 14-school P5 conferences!
Also, changed are (1) a few more FBS schools in the G5 to divide money with and (2) even lower chance for G5 to make the national championship semis now that P5 schools are playing fewer G5's, who then can't ever get a decent SOS to get ranked high.
Final note: Power 5 is never mentioned, but instead brought in through the back door with B.S. legalese as contractually obligated to play in these bowls. As if those contracts can't be changed; and if they can't, then that's restraint of trade.
