Firing Gus this year not in the budget. Next year if more of the same would be likely. Gus will probably have to bring in two new coordinators to save face. Bring in Frost at million a year with full control of offense.
Gus will never give up his offense. He’ll point to having a top 10 offense (yardage). Our biggest issue is defense, but agree that our offense can improve. Give me top 10 in scoring offense over yardage.

We have to get faster LBs. Ethan Barr may be a thumper vs the run, but has been a huge liability vs the pass and gets picked on constantly. We’re a just a step slow on finishing sacks. Watching QBs scramble for 1st downs on 3rd or 4th and long has killed us all year. We can’t seem to get off the field even when we’ve dialed up good pressure on the qb.

We also have to improve on Special teams. STs have been atrocious every year. Every game….Long returns on kickoffs and punt returns, converted fake punts, multiple blocked Field goals, penalties…..our special teams have been horrible every year. We’ve lost a lot of close games where a play here or there on special teams and maybe we win the game.

We're also going to lose:
1) 20 RS Seniors on the 2-deep
2) 5 listed as Seniors on the 2-deep so I don't know if any of them have eligibility left or would even stay (may go into the portal).

This includes 5 of 6 WRs, our current top 3 RBs, although Miles has assumed the role of RB2. Gus went all in on this season and it failed. We're starting from scratch next season but if we can keep Rizk and he progresses as a QB, that could overcome a lot of issues on offense. Defense, well, I don't know how that gets fixed with the current staff because they already can't stop anybody on 3rd and 4th downs.
Agree…..The cupboard looks bare with all of the Seniors graduating…especially along the trenches.

Malzahn, 59, quickly shot down several online reports earlier this week that he planned to retire at the end of the season.

“I don’t know where that came from; I’m not retiring,” Malzahn said.
You can forget about Gus Madoff retiring. It's a matter of time before he takes back the playbook. He fuked us against Navy and now he is gonna eff us in the Big XII!

From what I understand, we don’t have a coach dedicated solely to special teams. Brian Blackmon shares his duties as tight ends coach as well.
