Firing Gus this year not in the budget. Next year if more of the same would be likely. Gus will probably have to bring in two new coordinators to save face. Bring in Frost at million a year with full control of offense.
Gus will never give up his offense. He’ll point to having a top 10 offense (yardage). Our biggest issue is defense, but agree that our offense can improve. Give me top 10 in scoring offense over yardage.

We have to get faster LBs. Ethan Barr may be a thumper vs the run, but has been a huge liability vs the pass and gets picked on constantly. We’re a just a step slow on finishing sacks. Watching QBs scramble for 1st downs on 3rd or 4th and long has killed us all year. We can’t seem to get off the field even when we’ve dialed up good pressure on the qb.

We also have to improve on Special teams. STs have been atrocious every year. Every game….Long returns on kickoffs and punt returns, converted fake punts, multiple blocked Field goals, penalties…..our special teams have been horrible every year. We’ve lost a lot of close games where a play here or there on special teams and maybe we win the game.

We're also going to lose:
1) 20 RS Seniors on the 2-deep
2) 5 listed as Seniors on the 2-deep so I don't know if any of them have eligibility left or would even stay (may go into the portal).

This includes 5 of 6 WRs, our current top 3 RBs, although Miles has assumed the role of RB2. Gus went all in on this season and it failed. We're starting from scratch next season but if we can keep Rizk and he progresses as a QB, that could overcome a lot of issues on offense. Defense, well, I don't know how that gets fixed with the current staff because they already can't stop anybody on 3rd and 4th downs.
Agree…..The cupboard looks bare with all of the Seniors graduating…especially along the trenches.

Malzahn, 59, quickly shot down several online reports earlier this week that he planned to retire at the end of the season.

“I don’t know where that came from; I’m not retiring,” Malzahn said.
You can forget about Gus Madoff retiring. It's a matter of time before he takes back the playbook. He fuked us against Navy and now he is gonna eff us in the Big XII!

need a new special teams coach STAT!

From what I understand, we don’t have a coach dedicated solely to special teams. Brian Blackmon shares his duties as tight ends coach as well.

Word is that UCF will fire/hire a few position coaches. The school will try to promote the firing of position coaches as a positive step (sacrificial lambs) and something that is needed. Obviously, it’s on the head coach but that won’t be said.

Malzone will not find a viable OC to work for him…it will never happen. A new DC is badly needed as Addison Williams is terrible, but UCF will have to settle for a Ted Roof type if Malzone makes a change there.

Mohajir hired and then extended Malzone last year after going 6-7. Mohajir’s career is tied to Malzone’s UCF fate. Attendance, criticism and donations will play a big role here. Ultimately, the biggest UCF boosters (Euliano, Repole and a few others) will decide what will happen…right now, it doesn’t appear that guys have the willingness to spend the money for the HC change.

Again…Mohajir will never push for Malzone to be fired, quite the opposite…Mohajir is doing his best to convince everyone that Malzone can turn things around.

For those of you that don’t like me much…I know that I troll sometimes but I don’t hate UCF or it’s football program. I have become friends with quite a few UCF fans and I interact with them quite a bit. I much rather have UCF be successful than FSU or UF.

If you want my input…Sons of UCF and Trace are, by far, the best source for UCF sports information. Brandon H is a nice guy who has good information but is unwilling to “keep it real”. That’s all.

Firung all of the coaches except Gus means nothing. Better off getting rid of Gus. More kids will decomitt. Not worth keeping him. Bring in a coach that will bring his QB and good players along. Not Gus that brought all of his castoffs here.
Exactly. Malzahn firing all the coaches and coordinators and staying on as head coach is akin to Cpt. EJ Smith firing the entire crew AFTER the TITANIC hit the iceberg!

Indiana and Colorado did it right. Hired coaches that brought the best players along with them and hit portal for other areas. Gus doesn’t know who to bring in. Oh you went to Auburn and weren’t good? Come here and not be good. Oh you didn’t score points at Arkansas? Come here and don’t score points.
Indianas jump is unprecedented. Guy did a phenomenal job

Whine all you want about other HC, Malzahn is UCF's worst HC ever. O'Leary, McDowell were Up, Down, Up, Down, Gus has simply been down- every year worse than the one before. Would be great if we had an AD that realized that. It's just like the average Florida college football fan- only pays attention to the name brands. AD likes Gus because once, decades ago, he was something.
