Initial Thoughts: Offense could produce the greatest numbers of Gus's coaching career. ... Offensive line has a lot of combinations. ... Bredell Richardson will be too good to redshirt. ... Defensive End and Safety spots look suspect. UCF will need to play a lot of Cover 2 to mask deficiencies of lacking a true free safety AND to preserve the top on the defense in order to pressure the quarterback with exotic blitzes. ... Defense lacks a true pass rush specialist.

Overall Impression: Not a lot of Big 12 opponents can match personnel with UCF.

Initial Thoughts: Offense could produce the greatest numbers of Gus's coaching career. ... Xavier Townsend may play four games, redshirt, and transfer out. ... Offensive line has a lot of combinations. If Wes Dorsey can ultimately win right tackle outright and allow Herb Hand to move Marcellus Marshall to right guard, UCF will lead the nation in rushing. ... Bredell Richardson may be too good to redshirt. Troy Ford Jr. could fill the roll should be accept a position change. ... A true freshmen or two, who is slated to report later in the summer, may factor into the rotation at linebacker or the secondary.

Overall Impression: Not a lot of Big 12 opponents can match personnel with UCF.
.What an absolute dolt you are…clueless. Hall starting and Waltclaire Flynn starting. Flynn is a short guy with a small frame…but you think he will start as a true freshman. Lmao.

Hall did not have a roster in 2023 and nobody offered him a scholarship but he’s going to start as well.

Clown much?

Correct.

I like Caden Kitler. He is a good kid who is a hard worker. He has done nothing, in my eyes, to lose the starting nod at center.

However, no one around the UCF program thinks Kitler will start AND finish the year at center. Everyone loves Flynn. What a lot of folks do not know is Flynn ran a lot with the first unit during spring practices. I think the coaching staff *may have* promised him playing time as a true freshman. Gus alluded to as much when he spoke about the incoming freshman class.

No. That is not what I am saying. What I am saying is not only will Hall start, but he will be the alpha WR at UCF.

Hey Dumbo, Flynn won’t play significant snaps for years. You are literally wrong on everything thing you post.

You spent the year posting about Bowman being a “secret weapon”. Mental.

Xavier Townsend and Demari Henderson will start. Braeden Marshall third string lol?!?!

Glad you’re not coaching.
I edited my original post.

Xavier Townsend will start at punt returner, so I can agree with your take in part.

We disagree, however, regarding 155-pound soaking wet Demari Henderson, who I will admit made a lot of flukey, big plays in 2023. He better add a lot of azz from somewhere if he hopes to remain the starter in 2024. Addy put a premium on size and physicality in the portal and through high school recruiting in the secondary. The days of UCF fielding middle school-sized point guards on the back end are numbered.

I meant no disrespect to Braeden Marshall putting him third team. He is a really fine young player, whose best football is ahead of him. Gus values experience and Quadric Bullard has a boatload of it. I can see a scenario where Quadric starts out second string for a few games before giving way to Marshall (like Quadric started at safety over Demari for the first half of the 2023 season). Neither of them (Quadric or Marshall), however, are on the level of Ledarius Tennison, who is poised to be a All-Big 12 selection provided he stays healthy.

Pierre lined up as OLB at Edge this spring, does better there than MLB

Townsend will play a lot at WR. Townsend and Johnson will probably rotate between slot and outside WR. If Agiye Hall has his stuff together he’ll contribute but that’s probably a long shot.

If Kelly is healthy he will start at DE.

Marshall will play over Bullard and Harris will play over Alexander.

You two make a lot of valid points.

UCF needs a linebacker to be able to play edge and rush the passer.

Townsend will get reps somewhere.

Hall ain't gonna be a bust. He is going to show out.

Marshall *deserves* to play over Bullard.

Harris vs. Alexander will be interesting to watch.

These are VERY, VERY good problems to have.

GKCO!

Except Bullard lost his starting position to Henderson the second half of last season, so he obviously doesn’t value his experience as much as you think. Sadly, Bullard wasn’t the same player (coming off a knee injury) this past season that he was in 2021. I think he can be a star on special teams (coverage), and obviously mix in a bit ar safety as well. But taking your clear-cut top ballhawk/playmaker (in D. Henderson) off the field is just not something they’re going to do.

Henderson is back there playing centerfield, his weight doesn’t bother me (and he’s not 155 lol).

Neither Townsend or Johnson can play outside they are both very small guys (specially Johnson)…he will get jammed at the LOS and he won’t be able to win any 50/50 balls.

if Kelly is healthy and can stay away from the “off the field issues” he will 100% be the starter. Kelly has, by far, the higher ceiling of anyone in that room.

Lol. Dummy here has Dotson starting. Lol.

Didn't KJ gain too much weight and lost his ability to connect with receivers?
He has always had issues with the intermediate passing game. He needs fast outside guys that can get deep. He also needs an OL that can give him the time to throw the ball.

He was almost 270 pounds after Spring practice was finished. His ability and endurance at that weight are compromised. He has a poor OL and being 30 pounds overweight is not going to “cut it”.

I like Johnson better outside. His speed will stretch the field. With the run game going to be tough on Safeties. Either stay up and stop the run, or play back to stop the pass but UCFs offense should have multiple ways to win.

What part of he will get jammed at the LOS did you miss? He’s 5’7”-5’8” and 155 pounds. He’s not playing outside.

Size is irrelevant if you’re faster and teams can’t leave CBs 1 on 1. Hill and Waddle have dominated in the NFL. We had a similar size WR go off for 1,000 yards in 2020 and would have had a similar year in 2021 under Gus if not for injury.

So he's fat qb with no mobility and an arm that can only throw bombs?

0-12 maybe 2-10

I hope he knows how to get the ball to his running backs.

UCF has best roster ever.

Coaches won't cow-tow to threats of leaving the program by players.

Forget about having a favorite player these days at any position with transfers.

Who knows at this stage how the 2-deep will wind up with this roster,
the coaches don't even know except for QB which in the future should have
the same competition every other position has.

Updated depth chart.

With Marcellus Marshall moving inside to guard, Wes Dorsey gets the starting nod at RT. Caden Kitler retains the center spot for now. Adrian Medley and Paul Rupelt go off the field. Medley and Marshall will compete all season for the spot at guard.

Jarrad Baker gets increased playing time due to a dominant spring.

Johnny Richardson gets enough touches to warrant being third team.

Bredell Richardson is too good to redshirt.

Byron Threats or Damari Henderson will play opposite Sheldon Arnold II at safety.

Xavier Townsend starts at punt returner.

The most important player at UCF -- by a significant margin -- is Amari Kight. If he stays healthy, the Knights are a contender.

10 Best UCF Football Players
1. RJ Harvey, RB Sr.
2. KJ Jefferson, QB Sr.
3. Deshawn Pace, S/LB Sr.
4. Agiye Hall, WR Soph.
5. Kobe Hudson, WR Sr.
6. Lee Hunter, DT Jr.
7. Ladarius Tennison, NB Sr.
8. Daylan Dotson, DE Sr.
9. Ja'Varrius Johnson, WR Sr.
10. Amari Kight, OT Sr.
This clown can’t be serious? Agiye Hall was not in a roster for 2023. Nobody wants him but he’s UCF’s 4th best player ahead of Kobe Hudson? LMFAO.

How freaking stupid is this AL1 character?! All of you are complicit with this pervert and his takes…none of you have the balls to call him out.
