Proof USF will let anyone in

Brilliant. Nobody checked my high school diploma after I got accepted either. Nobody ever has. I could have gone straight to college.

They checked with state on mine. Apparently my parents weren't all that original and there is someone 3 years my senior with the same exact first, middle, and last. It was a bit of a pain. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have known.

Am I reading this wrong or is this loser trying to take advantage of the system and get something for nothing? He got a free education and now is most likely working or has the ability to as a college graduate. People just can't take any responsibility for their own actions. Someone should go after him or his parents legally for the money if he wasn't 18. Show some responsibility, read and ask the right questions before you get a loan. Total ignorance at its best. He or his parents are not innocent or victims in the least.

How can you scam the system for a loan and then try to get out of repaying it by saying you ran a scam. Why is he not arrested? Why did some dumb-ass politician put in “ability-to-benefit” stupid requirement and not put a "federal crime if you scam us" sentence? I couldn't give a crap if you have the “ability-to-benefit", you got the money, you pay it back.

I'm now working on a way to get rid of my mortgage payment by telling them they shouldn't have given it to me.

Yeah. It's really the same thing if you didn't really qualify or if it was appraised too high which was the basis for the banking crisis a few years ago.

Meh. Those were lies which people trusted to make financial decision. This guy was the one doing the lying and not he wants to get out of his mistake.

True, but you kind of know as well when your new home value or your income to debt/expense ratio qualifications are a stretch. I have before.

He's not going to win. He received money, knew this all along and used it.
Time to pay it back or else. Banks and the government don't play.

Honestly no. When I got my first job and house, I did research to understand what I could afford and was told and read a lot of things. Plus the realtors are all trying to sell houses at whatever the artificially inflated neighborhood price is ( five buyers all offering $200,000 but the seller wants $300,000). Florida is full of con artists.

You correctly did the research and there are con artists, but in Southern Cali where the average home is $600,000 and the average salary is under $100,000 all of these people that defaulted on their loans knew damn well they could be in over their heads

This kid (at the time) or his parents new damn well at some point that he was getting a loan falsely.

Anyway, back to football.......

There were all these creative financing packages to let you believe that you could afford a home. 40-45 year mortgages? I just bought a car and they were offering me 84 month payments, seriously? I kind of wish we could limit credit to maybe 7 years max. If you can't afford it in 7 years, you can't buy it. Prices would plummet.

When does football start?
