ofcourse we would jump at the chance at 10 mil + more in TV money

maybe the Russel Athletic Bowl tie in will warm them up to the market

All this chatter will amount to nothing more than a contained dumpster fire :)

Too many things have to fall in place for B12 expansion...

We choose a good year to have a crappy record with other AAC schools looking horrible in bowl games.

Other than possibly BYU which has complicated TV rights, there are no attractive front runners for expansion.

Big 12 rep - "UCF had a crappy year. Finally we can make a case to tell them to leave us alone. Finally Memphis has a good football team. Time to expand!"

If you read all the articles, they really have low motivation to expand. We barely got Big East to accept us after many years. Don't see a quick next step for us after demotion to AAC.

Don't ask the idiots on this board. They believe Pete Thamel's article which puts Colorado St ahead of us with their 7K in season tickets sales and no conference championships in over a dozen years.

But, of all of the G5 candidates, none have the most upside compared to UCF with the exception of BYU and ND... both of which come with severe baggage.

we all hope he's wrong but he works for SI, not some random troll blogger on twitter.

Knights benefit greatly from joining a P5 just like Baylor & TCU did

&

you can now recruit vs the (big 3) in your state

+

it opens (state of) Flordia recruiting to the B12.

So

it's a win/win for all

so

c'mon over & say

"No" to P5? That's as stupid as saying we should have stayed in C-USA. Who gives a crap about it being the worst P5? Take the money, take the better recruits who will now notice us, and continue to improve if Big 12 dissolves. Stay here when Big 12 dissolves and who gives a crap about UCF, it will be all about where the ex-Big 12 teams go. Stupid to stay here, if we get the chance. Say no once, who the hell's going to ask a 2nd time? Name 1 conference that will be interested.

Would take it in a heart beat. I wouldn't even be against the 2 or 4 expansion teams getting a 20% share of TV money the first year in the conference and then letting it grow by 8%-10% for the next 8-10 years when they reach full share status.

If you add both UCF and USF it is a win win for us and the Big 12. We get to recruit as a Power 5 team, and I believe our new head coach would have some idea of what to do with that in regards to local talent. Big 12 teams would be able to recruit in Florida (more talent in the I-4 corridor than the entire Big 12 footprint outside of Texas).

TV partners are going to have some say in this as well. Which market is more valuable for advertising: Florida, Colorado or Tennessee? Not really sure you could call Houston a new market for the Big 12. Pretty sure most people in the city of Houston a familiar with the Big 12.

Yes. They have been deserving of an invite years ago. They beat the mighty sec in the liberty bowl 5 years ago and beat an ultra powerhouse in Baylor 2 years ago.

Its a KState fan asking us you dolt, not some UCF fanboy like you declare everyone on here. We need more non-UCF UCF fanboys to demand the same thing.

That will happen when UCF consistently puts together more 2013 like seasons which will put butts in the stadium and make people want to tune in. Not because UCF happens to be in Florida and because of a past season.
