So, how about Stephen Bannon?

He shouldn't be in there AHEAD of the Joint Chiefs Head but he can be in there.

Afterall, Obama had an asshat named Ben Rhodes as his Nat Security Advisor whose entire claim to fame was being a fiction writer and then a DNC lackey speechwriter.

Answer the question. There is no rage in my question, merely a query.

I wasn't saying you were raging, the MSLM and SJWs are though. He's draining the swamp and placing people he trusts in positions of power. It's what he said he'd do. These are the people on the NSC. Adding Bannon isn't all of sudden going to change the policy or power of the committee. It's not a committee of Generals with no political people like the MSLM is trying to spin. Everyone in there is appointed by the President.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. On the surface, I would think the DNI and CJCS are integral roles in defining national security and foreign policy matters. On the other hand, the DNI and CJCS removal could point to a shift in foreign policy. Perhaps it's a move away from the War on Terror and interventionism in general. A lot of what Trumps says has "America First" undertones, so a shift in foreign policy like this wouldn't surprise me.

Right, but as part of the move Bannon was added to the Principals committee as a standing member and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and DNI were downgraded to "as needed" on that committee

Trump reorganized the National Security Council to, along with other changes, give Bannon a regular seat on the principals committee — the meetings of the most senior national security officials, including the secretaries of defense and state.

That memo also states that the director of national intelligence and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff will sit on the principals committee only when the issues to be discussed pertain to their “responsibilities and expertise.” In the previous two administrations, both were included as regular attendees.

I'm not sure what that really means as far as being able to direct policy, but the mean old MSM press seems to dislike the idea. Bannon has assumed the role previously played by Karl Rove as the media boogeyman for a Republican White House.

That's not my point. He's not the head of national security like it's being spun by the MSLM. Pence, Mattis, Tillerson, Perry, Flynn, Priebus, Sessions will also be in the room. He is not going to control the room or decisions with those guys in there.

So that article pretty much only quotes an Obama appointee that already knows she's out of work once Sessions is confirmed... Yeah... OK... Very responsible reporting.

Have any of you looked up his bio recently? It's not like the guy is some dumba$$ who doesn't belong in the room with smart people. He has a degree from Georgetown and Harvard and is a Navy vet.

Facts are not welcome in here . These liberal policy experts in the cooler and on Facebook have a better grasp on the situation

Personally its ****ing terrifying.

Why? Because the Dems have stalled the confirmation of selected AG Jeff Sessions, which, if already done, this Obama chick would have been long gone.

She knows she had only hours/days to remain in that position so of course she was grandstanding so she could be a guest on all the emo lib tv shows for the next few weeks.

That's terrifying? [roll]

I'm terrified over the emo stuff you are supposedly terrified over.

For 8 year the AG Office was essentially a political wing of Obama's White House, yet today I'm waking up to thongs of liberals stating that the AG position MUST act independently and that this woman is a "HERO!".

Funny, because that's EXACTLY what Jeff Sessions practically demanded of Sally Yates during her Deputy AG confirmation hearing in 2015 - to act independently of the President. It isn't just liberals who think that.

As long as the people that is supposed to be there is included, I don't care who else is invited (properly vetted) to the meetings.

The main problem with the "muslim ban" EO is that it looks like Trump & Co didn't check with DHS what the effects were going to be on people traveling. Naturalized citizens and green card holders shouldn't have been affected

I guess you don't understand:
if the President is a republican, republicans think the AG has to do whatever the President tells him/her/it to do
if the President is a republican, democrats think the AG has to act independently of the President
if the President is a democrat, democrats think the AG has to do whatever the President tells him/her/it to do
if the President is a democrat, republicans think the AG has to act independently of the President
If the President is Trump, everybody wants the AG to act independently of the President when necessary. Yates was going to be fired anyway so it doesn't count. The new guy needs to review the EOs and decide if they are lawful or not (or just flawed) before spending our taxes trying to defend them
