As I said earlier, there are probably things that can be cleaned up with it nobody is arguing that. Nobody wants waste, but that's far different than basically ending the program entirely, which at this point seems to be where we are.

Is there some important stuff that the USAID has given money to? Yes. And there is a tremendous amount of other shit that isn't, which is what I posted.

But At no point in this thread did you say USAID has given money to important stuff and have said you agree with what Elon is doing, which is basically ending the program.

4 years ago, Elon was a hero to the left. He was brilliant. One of the greatest minds of the 21st century. He voted for Biden, made electric cars in which they could feel like they totally were saving the planet, and was Mr. Rocket Man who believed in funding cool space exploration.

If it hasn't gone well it's because we are voting in the wrong people. The solution isn't to hand it all over to one guy and give him unchecked power, that is completely against the ideals of our country since the day it was founded. The solution is to vote in better people, and to vote out the bad people. We, as voters, have responsibility in it not going well too, but taking a blowtorch to the entire thing is not the way to fix it.

If Biden hired Elon and went about it this way I would absolutely have an issue with it. But on the other hand, of George Soros had an office in the Whitehouse under Biden and was given access to all of our systems and allowed to have unchecked power, my guess is you wouldn't be ok with that.
The President has pardon power. You can agree or disagree with who he pardons, and I do think there is an argument maybe there should be some sort of approval committee or something, but there is nothing abnormal about a president issuing pardons. Comparing pardons to what Elon is doing is apples to oranges.
