Hey clown. You said he visited and did not commit. You are a fraud and a well known simp. You are a low level information scavanger. Stop embarrassing yourself.

You also said over and over that Johnson was a UCF silent commit and would make it official after the portal closed (April 30). Freaking clown.
You're such a dumb ass you cannot even read the AGGIE source that confirms he DID visit. 🤣 🤣 🤣

The truth is we don't really know because there are conflicting reports.
What a clown. One is a report from a fan blog and the other from the 247 reporter.

This AuburnLegacy shill is here blowing smoke up UCF’s fans behind. Making stuff up and outright lying.

Not a huge amount of difference between a 'team site blogger" and a "247 reporter" these days. I have seen a lot of the site "bloggers" become "247 reporters" in the past decade. This "blogger" could be the next On3 writer. It is not like we are comparing "bloggers" to respected newspaper journalists. Some 247 and On3 "reporters" have never taken a journalism course in their life (aside from high school yearbook.)

I like him, but he hasn't Tweeted out an official UCF offer yet.

May 16 is the last day to enroll for the 2024 UCF Summer term. Meaning…the last spot must be filled by then.

Whiff on Riley, Johnson and Hardie. Who is left?

Considering Gus hasn't scheduled a press conference on the Spring Portal additions, the safe bet is the Knights aren't done yet.

Probably bringing a guy or two in this weekend.

As far as remaining prospects go...

One of the more intriguing, forgotten about kids, who is still technically in the portal, is Florida transfer Kiyaunta Goodwin.

A former 5 Star, Goodwin (6-foot-8, 351 pounds) left Gainesville before the 2023 season to be closed to his ailing mother.

He played in 11 games as freshman at Kentucky and should have 3 years to play 3. It will be interesting to see where he lands.

Not sure anyone on here besides the two crazies from other fanbases feels that it’s some kind of emergency to add yet another receiver to the roster.

You’ve got Hudson, you’ve got Townsend. Unless you absolutely feel as a staff that the Jones kid from Ohio can’t play/help (then why did you bring him in?), then what else do you need? It will be a run-heavy/run-dominant offense, and you’ve got pretty damn good young kids to fill out depth behind a rotation of Hudson/Townsend/Jones/Magwood/Whittemore.

I think a rise in production from both Townsend and Pittman is coming. Pass catchers will be more than fine next season.

I can explain my logic.

Gus doesn't 'have' to add another slot but he can, and I don't want just any wide receiver: I want Ja'Varrius Johnson.

(1) Xavier Townsend missed games due to injury last season and missed games due to injury during his sophomore and junior years at Berkeley Prep, so durability is an issue.

(2) Ja'Varrius Johnson served as Auburn's defacto No. 1 WR for the past two seasons. He drew each SEC opponent's top corner each game. At UCF, Jacoby Jones, Kobe Hudson, and/or Townsend will draw the top two corners (most of the time), leaving Johnson isolated on a Big 12 slot corner, linebacker, of safety. I LOVE those odds in 1-on-1 matchups, especially in a big game.

(3) Johnson knows Gus's offense and has played every WR position. He can be a Day 1 contributor for UCF. Any other offensive transfer will have to learn the offense and prove himself before Gus trots him out on the field.

(4) UCF projects to have only 10 wide receivers and 40 offensive players on scholarship after having 13 wide receivers and 42 offensive players on scholarship last year, so it makes sense to spend the final scholarship on an offensive player.

(5) Hudson, Magwood, Jones, and Bredell Richardson are outside guys. Whittemore is a glorified blocker. Townsend and Jarrad Baker, who is poised for a HUGE year in my opinion, can play inside or out. Johnson falls into that latter category as well.

I see ZERO downside to signing a proven SEC receiver.

As far as remaining needs, UCF could use a reserve offensive tackle or pass rush specialist. Johnson is the best backup player available if it cannot land one of those. I LOVE 2023 Buck Buchanon Award winner Terrell Allen as a pass rusher:

EDIT: I would even be cool with Nikai Martinez rejoining the team. It would be a marque Hometown Hero story.

AuburnLegacy_1 keeps saying that Johnson is a UCF “silent” commit. Meanwhile, Malzon about to land a WR nobody wants. Johnson said no to Gus Malzon. Maybe ole Gus should have hired a real WR coach? Lol.

2023 stats: 6 catches for 71 yards and 1 TD. ON3 Transfer Portal ranking .8600.

AL1 are you on Twitter/X? Also, for the forum members…if you are looking for a great source for everything related Miami Hurricanes football give me a follow!

Alston in December and a huge one about to drop soon. Safe to say that Kelly (backup DE) has been upgraded.

Got it. That’s the best way to promote a program or a coach in your case.
First off genius, I'm not the one asking a "conspiracy theorist" if he has social media.

Second, what makes you think Gus needs my promotion? Gus is a blood-born again believer in Christ. The Lord will work through a 'nobody' like Gus and transform him a champion--not because Gus is anything special, but for the Lord to show just how great He is. UCF will be the recipient of miracle, so it will get all the promotion it wants and then some.

I have no insider knowledge that Ja'Varrius Johnson is a "silent commit" to UCF. But I have faith, believe, and trust that he will end up at UCF.

This AL1 is such a strange character. Also, Malzon was fired at Auburn and is trending way down at UCF. 6-7.

UCF has one, two max scholarships/roster spots remaining. This kid visited UCF, but never Tweeted out have an official offer. He does have an offer from Colorado State. How can UCF "whiff" on a kid it didn't offer?

Now, missing out on Arkansas's Andrew Chamblee (reserve left tackle) and Auburn's Cam Riley (edge) qualify as "whiffs" because both had legitimate UCF offers.

The Knights needed a pass-rushing edge, reserve left tackle, or slot WR. I expect one of these needs to be filled.

Lmao. UCF just got another DB. Scholarship player too. The roster management by Gus Malzon is a fireable offense.

You expected WRONG. LOL.

LOL. So that’s it. The last UCF roster spot went to the UAB DB. Lol. Show how much the resident Gus Malzon homunculus knows.

Malik McClain now to ASU. Nobody wants to play WR at a place without a WR coach.

I like the pickup.

I have been preaching all offseason that the nonsense about "stopping the run" was ridiculous. UCF will face some great PAC 12 and Big 12 passing offenses along with some great quarterbacks in 2024. Here is a sure-tackling boundary corner that the Knights landed late in the game.

I said earlier in this thread that UCF could use an experienced kick returner, and this kid was UAB's only punt returner, so that is an added bonus.

(From Page 1...

No. 2, Gus and UCF are in position structurally and financially to add players. The Knights have 75 players on scholarship. On offense, UCF has needs two WRs (slot and X), 2 or 3 offensive linemen (left tackle depth, right guard, and right tackle), and possibly an all-around tight end. On defense, UCF needs a defensive end or two and an impact edge rusher and possibly a true free safety. On special teams, UCF could use a kick returner.)

I also said earlier in this thread, UCF *possibly* had one, maybe two scholarships remaining. We'll see. If UCF misses in Ja'Varrius Johnson, it will be a MONUMENTAL letdown (in my eyes at least), especially after a 'rando' slot WR jumped on the portal on May 6.

That dude was not on scholarship. Did you read the link from the Orlando Sentinel? That was the last spot.

Yeah…I am sure you “like” the pickup. LOL. Teams will stack the box against UCF with zero worries. KJ Jefferson (all 270 pounds of him) will be running for his life behind that OL.

25 transfers for UCF in 2024 and only two with a transfer rank above a 3*.

Outlook: UCF had a scholarship left to fill and McWilliams provides some extra depth on the roster along with the potential for special teams.

^^^^I am telling you 💯 that the information above is *potentially* an assumption.

I originally posted this on Dec 22, 2023.

I *assumed* that Gage King, who signed with UCF as a walk on, was awarded a scholarship for winning the snapper position. I never officially verified that. I am *assuming* these other sites, 247 and Rivals, didn't verify it, either. I am also *assuming* that the Orlando Sentinel writer got his info from one of these pay sites.

All I am telling you UCF *potentially* has one remaining scholarship.

The only way we will know for sure if UCF is done adding players is if Gus announces he will have a press conference to introduce the new signees.
