$300M facilities project…FULLY FUNDED. Plans already approved by the City of Coral Gables. Ground breaking any day.
UCF announced plans a year ago…fast forward to now and they have released conceptual plans (look up with that means). UCF doesn’t have a $1 for the facilities project. Nothing.

Do you understand what FULLY FUNDED means? Miami already has the entire cost of the facilities construction cost in hand. UCF doesn’t have a dollar set aside for their facilities expansion…not a dollar.

You mad and can’t debate the FACTS? UCF stills owes almost $33M in construction bonds for the “bounce house”. UCF took a $12M advance from the Big 12. In the 2022-2023 budget UCF alloted about $2.3M for “premium seating west side” , around $400k for cabanas, 800k for “rust remediation”. Project debt for the stadium is almost $33M as of this month (June 2023). There’s nothing else there boys. NOTHING.

I posted the facts. UCF doesn’t have any money allocated for the facilities announced last year other than what I posted above. UCF owes $33M in construction bonds for the “bounce house” and UCF took a $12M advance from the BIG 12 (which will be deducted from future conference payments to the school). These are simple facts.Yes, of course. I’m the one who is “mad”.
Let’s see what the 2023-2024 budget says? FYI…expect more of the same. There’s no money for facilities. None. UCF would have to take out a HUGE loan on top of the debt it already has.

You do understand that you can’t take a loan to cover 100% of the construction costs right? UCF would need at least 20% of the total construction cost funded.

He’s right. Miami’s facilities will never be comparable to Oregon, Georgia…places like that because there’s no land in Coral Gables to build a stadium. We don’t need to be.
The $300M facilities project will start in a couple of months. There’s no fundraising or anything else blocking it. Fully funded. It will be on the top level…as good as there’s in the nation.
