Whatever QB wins the job, UCF needs to get some help in the form of a viable/proven transfer WR or two. UCF needs to spend some money there to have a chance of being respectable on offense.

Jefferson showed up super fat and weighted 270 pounds AFTER Spring practice. Malzone paid the guy $350k and Jefferson was a complete bust (joining a long line of failed QBs for QB killer Gus Malzahn).

Gus is bringing in the highest profile quarterback transfer (who didn't get kicked out of his previous school) in Gus's and UCF's history: A 3-year starter who is arguably the greatest QB in Arkansas football history and fits Gus's offense "perfectly." It is hard to upgrade a position more than replacing a converted position player under center with K.J. Jefferson. (In comparison to JRP, Jefferson has accounted for nearly 10,000 yards and almost 80 touchdowns in 38 starts at the position he will be playing at UCF.)

At most schools showing up fat wouldn’t have been a big deal. 4 weeks of eating right and proper weights and conditioning would have solved most of it. Gus and the S&C Coach didn’t care if guys worked out. It was up to them if they wanted to get better and stronger.
The players now are saying they are glad they are getting pushed in weight room and for conditioning. How does a coach not put emphasis on getting stronger and running?

I wholeheartedly agree. That is the #1 way a team improves.

But for the record, I heard the exact, same comments in Frosty's Year One at Nebraska about the previous coaching staff's lackadaisical attitude towards S&C. I believed it all back then. Good grief, how in this day and age could any head coach take S&C so lightly??!?!? But the fact that the same, exact buzz is coming out now about Malzahn's S&C has made me a tad more skeptical that this is legit and not some Zach Duval PR campaign.

Awesome news for Miami today…we get $15M more per year and after the 2029-2030 season we get to leave the ACC with all the TV rights for only $78M.

The Big 10 TV deal runs through 2029-2030 and there will be additional conference realignment then.

Don't hold your breath waiting for a B1G invite for Miami.

It is highly unlikely that the conference will expand beyond two more schools after the current TV deal expires. One of the two is a given: Notre Dame. The other? It's much more likely to be North Carolina or Florida State than South Florida's Miami.

FSU is not an AAU school. North Carolina doesn’t bring eyes in football and the Big 10 WANTS a Florida presence.

Meanwhile, UCF and its terrible TV ratings is destined to be a lower tier Big 12 school with the revenue share to match it. Welp?

You are clueless. The entire landscape and how revenue is distributed in college football has changed. Equal revenue distribution is OVER.

Whether it’s the B10, SEC or another option Miami is in a great spot. Led the ACC in ratings last year and was second only to Colorado in the ACC and Big 12 combined.

UCF is destined to be a lower tier school with the related payout where ever it ends up. These are the facts.

So you're going to hang your hat on Miami's TV ratings??!? LMAO. Miami's appearances on the major TV networks last year drew an average of 2.63 million viewers. Whoopdie do!

That number pales in comparison to the TV numbers from SEC and B1G schools. Hell, Nebraska finished its season with an underwhelming 7-6 record---yet it's TV numbers were better than Colorado's and kicked Miami's ass.

And attendence? Miami's five-year attendance average is...(drumroll)...52,000 fans. Wow. Goosebumps! That's worthy of joining Notre Dame in the B1G, right?
