The Current State of Florida Programs

Notes from FSU's second scrimmage

...the offense had “highs and lows”...

...the execution wavered throughout the day...

...Malzahn’s play-calling also tried to get players out of position, but White’s well-coached defense stayed home, kept their eyes in the right places, and sniffed out a few of Malzahn’s ideas....

...the defense front forced the OL into a couple of holding calls that negated a first down...

...Malzahn also highlighted penalties as an issue for the offense, which hindered drives throughout the morning, including a couple of holding calls. Whenever the offense did get the ball into scoring position, they struggled to punch it in the end zone or come away with points. The passing game left something to be desired...

...according to Malzahn, the “best thing, coming off the field, “was that our running backs did not put the ball on the ground. That explains how the day went...

White is going to be a damn good HC someday. Depending on how things work out for Gus's offense and the team overall this season, I wouldn't be shocked if White is FSU's next head coach in waiting.

Scott Frost won’t last two years at UCF. Dude can’t even spit out the nasty chewing tobacco before giving a press conference.

30 years ago, it was common in outdoor sports for athletes to chew. It’s a habit. Perhaps he should take it out.
Who cares? It is not a big deal.

Maybe he is a fan of Adolescence and wanted to elevate his status in the Mansphere.

Anyway, Frost doesn't spit, he swallows.

Poll UCF fans and ask them what are The Most Important Things Frost needs to do to turn around the Knights' football fortunes?

I guarantee you that Coach giving up chewing tobacco wouldn't make the Top 10.

Trolling is another disgusting habit. Do it on your home team's board, anywhere but not on UCF's fan board.
You really believe it’s OK for the “face” of UCF football to do a press conference with his mouth full of chewing tobacco? Dude is a walking advertisement for the dangers associated with his nasty habit aka gum disease.

UCF fans are always quick to ignore the obvious embarrassments and then years later bring it up when the coach is no longer at UCF. The best you can hope for is that this “image” is Frost’s own misgiving and not part of a Mohajir rebranding.

It's fine to have negative opinions, especially about tobacco chewing. I happen to agree with you on this one.

But when a poster -- particularly one who publicly admits to being a huge Miami fan -- only spouts negativity towards Coach Frost and the UCF football team on a UCF board, you don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out what's going on here.

Frost doesn't need to tobacco to embarrass the UCF program.

They are already coming up with excuses for TC.

The dynamic there is so funny to me. Gus throws him to the wolves his freshman year and burns his redshirt. All while playing poorly in the process. Thomas gets disenfranchised by that and transfers to BC, plays decently but quits on his team. All of a sudden Thomas is cool with playing for Gus again

It was the FSU effect. I think he’s from GA so his family can drive a few hours to see him? Not sure though.

It has been postulated that he is over compensating due to the affliction of micropenis.

we don't even respond to Lobo anymore

Gotta make room for Nico.

And he was a walk on, so there's that.

"He initially committed to Ole Miss and had interests from other schools such as Missouri, Texas A&M and UCLA. Despite his options, he decided to walk on for the Seminoles."

Here are some of the insane narratives I've seen:
  • Malzahn's offense is drastically different than Mike Norvell
  • All Malzhan wants to do is run the ball
  • QBs don't want to play in Malzhan's offense because they can't get to the NFL
  • Wide receivers don't want to play in the offense because they run it all the time.
  • The offense is outdated.

Looking at the current state of the in-state programs, we can project where UCF may fit in going forward and what their upside for opportunity is.
This OP made sense originally. It was a legit look at where UCF fit in with its in-state brothers.

But -- 84 pages later -- it's being used by a couple of non-fans to hype Miami or Florida State with OC Malzahn. News Flash: Nobody here cares about Malzahn's new job at Florida State. Anybody that cares about FSU or Miami have other places to go to gush about those other in-state programs. Sadly, this neverending thread has become a 'catch-all' for a bunch of Miami and Florida State garbage that no Knight fan gives a crap about.

So, pardon me in advance for pretending to be a board moderator doing his job, but this thread should have been locked a long time ago. Unless a take about one of the other Florida schools has a tie-in to UCF, it has no business being posted here (like the post above this one ^^^^^)

Bianchi and the resident Malzone homunculus (AuburnLegacy_1) fed you very “naive” fans a ton of b.s and had you saying that KJ Jefferson was better than Cam Ward.

KJ was awful and then bloated his waist to elephant like means. Ward has been good at his 3 schools. Gus never could understand that a qb is allowed to throw
