Gus drove the bus to the bottom of the ocean. We need a deep sea diver to get us out of there. Hopefully Frost is that guy, he’s brought us up from the depths of hell once before, but it’ll be much harder this time.

Gus is the only reason UCF is being mentioned at all.

Based on...what? Going into Malzahn's tenure, I thought the Knights had a head coach who was perfectly positioned, based on his P4 experience, to lay the foundation for long-term success in the Big XII.

Based on his results, the direction of the program, and the players he left behind upon his "screw the money, let me get the hell out of Dodge" exit, I was obviously dead-wrong.

Or so I thought. I'm curious to learn what Gus supposedly did that got "UCF mentioned at all."

UCF was been driven to the ground by BETA Mohajir. The last straw (that broke the camel’s back) was to hire a guy like Frost who has a terrible reputation in the coaching and college football industry.

The fact is that no viable coach or recruit wants to attach himself to “Buddy”. On top of that, “Buddy” is in no position to ask for NIL or staff resources…one of the reasons Mohajir hired him to begin with.

NONE of the rejected coaches Frost hired is attractive to transfers of recruits. Not a single one (specially Frost himself).

Now do Cristobal, Diaz, Richt, Golden and Shannon...

They don't even have 3 wins combined...
That's nuts. It's crazy how far Miami has fallen since the Big East. Who would've thought that the mighty ACC was too tough for them? Hell, former AAC member SMU damn near won it their very first year in. Similar to how UCF won the P5 Big East/AAC our first year in.

These results should tell the idiots who talk down on our AAC success something. It's really been over 20 years since Miami did anything major and that's insane. 20 freaking years! That's a lil under half of my life and my ass is getting old.

No current college football players can remember when da u was "good."

A word about "culture"

With all of y'all throwing around talk of locker room culture and how Frost is changing things at UCF, an ACC coach chimed in on culture as it relates to Gus!

One anonymous ACC coach told Athlon Sports that he believes Gus Malzahn’s hire is about more than just Xs and Os.

“Gus [Malzahn] is going to take it back to basics and do a lot of run-game at first,” the coach reportedly said. “His hire was way more about culture and having the veteran in the room than it was about a particular kind of scheme.”

His scheme sucks and he’ll blame the kids when his calls suck.

Norvell seems to believe the Seminoles are adding just what the doctor ordered to help revive the team's offense by bringing in Malzahn.

"He's one of the most innovative minds in college football history," Norvell said to On3's Pete Nakos. "And to be able to get somebody of that caliber, he's a natural leader of men. He's done it with football teams, and now obviously being able to have that focus within one side of the ball, but also still making a program-wide impact, is big."

But, but, but I was told that Scott “”Buddy” Frost and the “knights” would…NVM.
But, but, but we've been told summer after summer after summer that Mario is "building a champion."
Yeah, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Miami is the king of the underachievers. In recent years, the Knights have more rings and more bowl wins than your Canes do.

Mario is building a championship program. There’s zero doubt about it. Why is it that nobody mentions Nebraska or UCF?

TEMU Patrick Mahomes went to Nebraska because have gave his uncle a secured job and a promotion (for now)…zero top recruits are going to Lincoln Nebraska to watch grass grow.

Scott “Buddy” Frost has l23 kids on schedule for OV this Summer…18 are ranked 3* (all mid to low 3*) and 5 are UNRANKED. Zero official visitors for UCF are ranked 4*. Welp?

Miami has five 5* players coming in during the summer, FIFTEEN 4* players. In addition to FOURTEEN .8900 (highest 3* possible) players.

You continually want to bring up my alma mater even though this is a UCF fan board.

The only thing I'll say is to remind everyone here we have a WWE-style, "One of Us is Going to Leave the Board" bet. If the Canes have a better record this fall than the Huskers, I'll be saying 'bye-bye' and leaving forever. If it's the Huskers, it's YOU who has agreed to leave. 'Nuff said.
