Your question speaks volumes about people who think the way you do. My experience is that these folks generally don’t think outside themselves most of the time.
It's a sad but simple truth that a lot of people filter their world through their ego, meaning that they think about most things in terms of “me” or “my”.
Believe it or not, Nautiknight, there are empathetic and kind-hearted people in this world who care about others. It's why you see so many people step-up and volunteer their services to help total strangers when there's a natural disaster or other tragedy.
You mean like when I took 4 days off and went to west Louisiana and east Texas with my skiff to join the Cajun Navy and help people after Harvey?
Or ,how about the time I donated a couple weeks time and several hundred dollars worth of gift baskets to a charity auction to raise money for the people of the Abacos after they got devistated by Hurricane Dorian.
Or, what about that time I served on the Board of Directors for the Conklin Center for the multi handicapped Blind in Daytona Beach where for years I donated time in my cabins and help them raise well over $15,000 over the course of a decade..
Or what about the time before Covid I donated over $2,000 in chocolate to a local organization called the Richie Alliance where you bought a ticket for this food event and they raise money to support special needs kids in Haywood County.
Or, how about the time for two years I both volunteered my time and gave over $4,000 to our high schools FRC Robotics team?
Or what about all the money for the past decade and half I pumped into Jackson County schools for PTA, Marching Band ,special education. and perfoming arts . I contributed over$25,000 to my school district to help kids , special needs kids and support the arts and sciences.
How about the times when strangers walk into my business and need a gift basket or gift card to support an auction for a stranger I do not know who is suffering from cancer?
maybe you're talking about how I support the local food bank with their big fund raising event where I provide every year free of charge over a $1,000 in chocolate for the desert. Maybe you could also be wondering about my donations to habitat for humanity? I am trying to figure out how selfish I have been..
I sincerely wanted to know about your position and what I get is name calling and suggesting how selfish I am, a pro vaccine guy who loves science and has questions.
