Why has Europe handled this so much better than the United States?
They haven't. Take New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Connecticut out of the equation and there are 12 European countries that have higher death rates so we're basically average. We had an unusually focused area that brought the nations numbers way up, accounting for almost 50% of all deaths. And before you say that that's because its a largely urban area, even without them I still include 95 of the 100 biggest cities in America.
The State of Florida would be No.#4 in the world if they were their own country.

They're 9th in the US in total deaths. They would be 23rd in the world in average deaths.

I hope you guys are going to be this proactive with Masks during Flu Season considering It has a higher IFR actually we should probably just mask up 24-7 for the rest of our days since we have a higher odds of dying in Car Accidents and from Second Hand smoke. We should also tackle that obesity problem by shutting down all fast food places since that kills more per year than any virus
I'm honestly amazed that anyone watches the news anymore. Its blatant fear mongering. Seriously, why are people addicted to fear and will actually pay to be afraid of life?
I am out and about quite a bit. As a rule of thumb it is lower income people and younger adults not wearing mask. Most others have them on.
How do you know their income just by looking at them? Wait, let me guess...

1.4 million car accident deaths per year worldwide. Less than half of that in covid deaths this year, so hes correct. Its also the leading cause of death for people under 30 and covid is nowhere close.
America please. I don't want to give this insane argument credit for other countries handling things correctly when we did not. In this country youre about 10x as likely to die from coronavirus vs a car accident.
Yeah so it doesnt matter what country you use so lets just use the one with the most accurate data, The United States.
The IFR is .34% So I better hear you guys screaming from the rooftops about social distancing and masks and stay at home during Flu Season. And I want you all to have the same level of enthusiasm about unsafe driving habits which lead to more deaths than Covid. I better see posts about not texting and driving or drinking and driving or click It or ticket. Don't be hypocrites. Also more posts on Diets as heart disease from Obesity is the silent killer.
It's more deadly out of conference. Which is why FSU can play Boston College but not UF and Why UCF can play ECU but not UNC
