This should be considered voter fraud

But remember that we’re told that Democrats don’t scheme the vote and Trump is the one executing a coup by filing lawsuits.

Totes legit
They're saying this out loud and in the public. But remember, there's no way any Democrat ever cheated in any race ever because no one ever found any evidence they either weren't looking for or actively dismissing.

You act as if there is any difference between the two parties with regard to pushing the limits on voting...

Someone said that no Democrat cheated in any race ever? You need to defriend that idiot.

I think that Republicans are utterly incompetent when it comes to doing anything that requires grassroots mobilization and confidence and thus could not take advantage of the VBM vulnerabilities. They'd get caught because we don't have enough people that are fervent enough in their beliefs of conservatism to take an "ends justify the means" approach and if they are that fervent, then the believe fervently that cheating is wrong and will blow the whistle in a heartbeat. The guilt in their own actions would outweigh any guilt they'd have over their place with respect to others in society.

I am confused about what the issue is. Out of state people work on campaigns, donate money, etc all the time, for both parties. How does that equate to voter fraud?
That's not what Yang is advocating. He's advocating taking advantage of the law that says that you can register and vote in Georgia on your first day of "residence." Therefore, everyone move to Georgia for a day and vote for the Democrat.

Edit: For the special election, you have to be registered by Dec. 5th unless you turn 18 between Dec. 5th and Jan 7th. Still holds though, as long as you can get a bill in your name you can vote.

Omigod, THIS is really something to get your red panties in a wad about! 🙄

The article Crazy posted said he is moving there to work on campaigns. You would also have to establish legal residency in GA before 12/05, and unless people have friends or family to stay with, how many people are going to be able to purchase or rent a home between now and 12/5?

That's the thing, social media is trending with people offering rooms up right now. It made enough noise that the Wall Street Journal wrote an article about it. It will probably die out and go away, but it's there so we're going to call it out. It would be considered voting fraud but the chances of it being prosecuted are probably slim and none.

Just look at the responses. "Shut up" "no big deal" "its now a national election". Everything but recognizing that this may actually be voter fraud. The left doesn't care, they just want to win. Election laws are meaningless as long as they get their way.

In the article you posted, it literally said he is going to GA to work on campaigns. If there is more to it than that, it isn't in your article. But besides that, if what you say they are doing is true, but legal, then it isn't fraud. It might be shady and GA might need to rethink their laws, but if it is within the law then it cant be considered fraud.

I realize what the article said. It also discouraged temporary moves as voter fraud if you read down a little further rather than stopping at the second sentence to come here and tell me I'm wrong. But here, I'll quote it for you:

"A spokesman for the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, which oversees voter registrations, declined to comment on how quickly someone could establish legal residency in Georgia, but cited state law that it is a felony to vote in Georgia elections if you are not a legal resident or if you are residing in the state briefly with the intention just to vote and then move away.

“These are sensitive issues, and election officials are going to pay attention to what is happening,” said Enrijeta Shino, a University of North Florida political science professor who has researched voting issues in Georgia. “People should be very careful about doing that.”

People moving to Georgia briefly can work on campaigns and canvass for candidates, but voting in the state without the intention of staying would be considered fraud, she warned."

Right. So what is the issue? You guys are acting like we could just take a weekend trip to Atlanta and declare ourselves GA residents and go vote, which obviously isn't the case.

Wow you hold republicans in much higher regard than most. I think people are people. THere are plenty of bad behavior on both sides and neither has the moral high ground

And pay state taxes...

Good thing Biden is a moderate. When Georgia elects 2 dem senators that flip control to the socialist party it makes me sleep well at night knowing he will be a buttress against the far left.

This is such a silly post. Georgia is not about Georgia, it's about national control now. Pence and other GOP heavies are flocking into the state to campaign. Both parties are funneling funds.

Our VP is campaigning in Georgia but you have a problem with Yang? DUMB!!!
This post is actual beyond stupid.

You and I both know the notion that Georgia will elect 2 Democrat senators in the upcoming special election falls somewhere between slim and none.

Of course, if the GOP's Senatorial candidates continue doing stupid stunts like calling on their own party's Secretary of State to resign because of an election where....GASP!...Biden won, I suppose it's still within the realm of possibility.

I hope they do. That way we can find out exactly how far left the party has moved and what positions Biden really does hold.

I disagree a bit. Hillary immediately accepted defeat. Obama was normal about handing the transfer (even wth FRUMP being an absolute idiot)

So the angst-filled hand-wringing you did pre-Nov about the horrors of a Democrat-led Senate has been replaced with an interest in seeing a Democrat-led Senate in order to "find out exactly how far left the party has moved???" 😐

I'm not saying that one is better than the other, just that they tend to value different things and have different ways of going about them.

All you need is a bank statement with a Georgia address. Or some other bill with your name on it in order to register and there is no restriction on recency. You can do that without buying a house. So, technically, you can do it in 2 days. The registration day and the voting day.

Nonetheless, like I said before, I don't think it'll be an actual problem.

Wouldn't you like to find out?
