LOL, he won’t guarantee the starting job to a guy who isn’t 24/7/365 a QB. I see JP as a fall back this year if TC, McClain, or the new portal guy don’t work out.
He wouldn’t announce he was coming back and not walk on SR Day if he wasn’t already handed the job.

If JRP can't improve or get health for next year, I'm super curious to see what Timmy can do!
I hope Coach isn't thick headed. So we'll have JC, JRP, Timmy, and more all competing for next year. I wonder who will play in the bowl game? Will it be a repeat of the title game? Hmmm
3 weeks should be enough to get JP to 80+% health or so, so I expect to see him along with a package of plays for TC……and hope he looks prepared this time.

JRP will start bowl. He finished CCG so health isn’t the issue.
It is an issue if we want to win…..no problem if just want the 60 minutes to go by fast and start drinking for New Years…..like the BYU bowl.
I remember the years of being stuck with no options at QB and waiting for GOL to develop a group of starters over a 4 year period. Patience is a virtue and even when we have good players we have to deal with injuries that are unreported when making judgments on players and the intangibles of getting everybody on a team playing on the same page.
Since it's Christmas time, I say let's give a little more grace to the players and coaches. And respect, after all their school and practice packed schedules are more than many of us could handle.

Cited articles, interviews from the players? Pretty much everything on this board is speculation. Well that is unless you attend that weekly meeting at Tijuana Flats Tuesday Nights at 7PM.
