So let me see if I have this straight: Trump threatens Mexico with a tariff and all of a sudden their president mysteriously comes up with 10,000 troops out of her back pocket to guard the southern border? When they refused to do that for the last four years? Am I understanding this correctly?

Or even better:

"We have absolutely no troops or resources to spare!!!”

"Fine here’s a 25% tariff."

“OK you can have 10,000."

Yep. He basically got what had been negotiated months ago, but he is a brilliant negotiator or something. I think Canada did agree to a fetanyl czar for the .2% of our fetanyl that enters from Canada, so that's something I suppose.

That's not what remotely happened. Donald negotiated for stuff that was already happening, or at least could have been done without the tariffs like it had in the past, just so he could take credit for it and all the clapping seals would be like "art of the deal", "brilliant negotiator" etc etc.
