UCF quarterback Dylan Rizk intends to enter transfer portal

I don’t think he improved so much as he was facing other teams 3rd stringers in 4th quarter when he came in. 31-17 was the closest game he appeared in. All the others they scored 52+ and opponents scored 14 or less.

But I have seen people that think just because Frost is here the QB situation is under control.

I believe Frost’s system is more QB friendly and do think he will develop better than Gus. And it is our Program’s only hope that he does.

Not getting hopes up just yet. KJ looked good for a couple games too. It’s the only hope at this point but I wouldn’t bet the farm he’s going to be KZ year 2.

I don’t know if they can rub 4 nickels together if you ask a lot of people about our finances.
Euliano, McNamara and Repole need to step up. Nico is damaged goods right now and he won’t be a viable target for top programs.

I’ll bet that he can be had for LESS than what he made last year…maybe as low as $1.5M a year. Nico is familiar with Milton and he might look at UCF as a place where he can redeem himself.

You guys are looking 3-4 wins with the QB room you have…at MOST. With Nico and everything going well (adding a viable WR or two) 6 or 7 wins is possible.

The question is…do your boosters have the balls to make it happen?

Maybe NVM. Texas Tech is likely to be involved with Nico and they got one booster than has as much money as the Atlantic Ocean has water. All the top programs will stay away but bottom feeder Texas Tech has money to spend

I do believe UCF needs to hit the portal for some instant help for Frost. It will be interesting to see if anything happens. If it doesn't, it will hurt. The Knights are in a conference where you can rest assured that the top half of the conference competition will be doing it.

Are you delusional? (Rhetorical question.)

Do you think a broke program UCF, currently in an embarrassing legal battle to avoid paying a defensive coordinator's buyout, is going to pay "SEC- type" money for a quarterback?

H*ll no. You trolling too hard.

UCF hired Scott Frost as head coach. The Knights ain't buying anybody.

I get these are lean times. But part of the reason Mohajir hired Frost instead of some young gun coming up after success at a lower level is because he would inspire hope among fans. Those same fans want to see some evidence the Administration is willing to help their new coach get some help this summer. That generates hope too. If they can't/won't, that's tough. It's like saying, "NO, we can't afford to give you any help with NIL money like your Big XII competition but we still expect you to beat them."

Fortunately, the football descrepancy in NIL dollars in the conference isn't as staggering as it is in basketball. But, like it or not, it's there and it has an impact.

The Malzone dummy is posting as if he knows anything when over and over he’s been wrong on literally everything.

It’s obvious UCF doesn’t have much money but it’s also very obvious that UCF has not spent much money on the head coach, the football staff or the current roster. There’s not a player on the team that would demand considerable NIL in the market.

UCF might have enough NIL to make a play for a guy or two. Let it play out.

The 31 points came against Washington who had the 7th ranked passing defense in the country

The other stats you use from when he was a RS Freshman have games against top 5 defenses in Ohio State and Michigan on an awful Indiana team. He had a good game against a top 25 Louisville defense too

I think Frost values culture over anything else, and I don’t think he’s going to be like j/k to all the QBs and try to bring someone else in who’s guaranteed the starting job. For better or for worse.

And it’s not like Nico lit the world on fire like DG did his freshman year. Tennessee won a lot of their games largely on their defense.

Nico is astronomically better than everyone in the UCF QB room. If Frost could get Nico…100% he would.

Blue bloods like Tennessee are the Yankees of the NIL world. We can only hope to be the Rays of the NIL world. Evaluate, recruit, and develop players better than the blue bloods to be competitive.

That was as insightful as saying, if Frost could win the lottery, he would. It would be sweet if the Knights could find another Mac. But as things currently stand, Frost is not going to afford to recruit a good one out of the transfer portal.

Look at the post I reply to? Goofy said that Frost would not take Nico. It’s the same goofy who said that the UCF QB room was in great shape and only needed a young QB for the future.

true, if we pick up anyone I'm betting it is a Frosh/Soph former 4* that got lost in a P4 team shuffle. Frost will sell him on development, not dollars

Some of you may recall that McKenzie Milton was only a 3-star QB when Scott Frost recruited him out of Hawaii. Finding another 'under the radar' QB who quickly develops into a stud is the secret sauce to getting the Knights back to national relevency.

It could happen again--most likely with a 2026 recruit. Frost can identify 'diamonds in the rough' and still has enough of a QB-whisperer reputation to pull it off again.

And Milton played 90% of his games against non-P4 teams. It’s a great story to find a “diamond in the rough”, but it’s a whole new ball game in the B12.

Bring in the most talented players you can, period. What you did in the past means nothing…

No dummy. I was saying UCF has ZERO shot at landing Nico. Dude ain't gonna walk away from a guaranteed $2 + million in the SEC to sign with alsoran for $200k max.

Stupidity Are You Stupid GIF

UCF cannot even pay its buyout contracts or hire a legitimate head coach and staff. How in the h*ll is it going to afford the best player in the transfer portal? Nico gonna play pro bono?

I don't disagree with you. It's certainly a different ball game today than when Milton was our signal caller. But given UCF's financial situation, the development of a 'diamond in the rough' QB remains the key to Frost turning the program around again.

And Milton played 90% of his games against non-P4 teams.
So what? Before his injury, Mac was one of The Best QBs in CFB, period.. He was his generation's Doug Flutie.
