Don't see Tulane having an interest in him as a starter....the other 2 I get

Honestly, even in the spring game of 2024, Jefferson looked terrible."KJ looked good for a couple games too."
No he didn't. Game 1 everyone was sus on Kj.
THIS^^^^^^^^^ agreed! No CLUE!That moron had no clue how to pick and develop QBs
Not overwhelming schools but may be a good fit. Good. Luck
Based on last year, he doesn't just have bad plays, he has horrible plays where it appears he has no idea what he's doing or how to do it. Pressure him, he loses his composure and bad things happen.Frost mentioned him as having spurts of good plays. And then a bad play.
Frost using coach speak. I think Jackson looks to be the manBased on last year, he doesn't just have bad plays, he has horrible plays where it appears he has no idea what he's doing or how to do it. Pressure him, he loses his composure and bad things happen.
Tayven may be inexperienced but he's been pressure-tested. Last season he stepped up for Indiana and started at QB -- and won -- a critical game in the Hoosiers' run to the playoffs. As I recall, he was a 4-star out of HS so the kid clearly has the skills.Frost using coach speak. I think Jackson looks to be the man
Isn't he the one KZ recruited? I think that was always the plan.Frost using coach speak. I think Jackson looks to be the man
We still have the last few days of the portal and fall practice. He does appear to be QB1 right now....but Scott's leaving it open officially (and he should) until we get well into preseason. Tayven's got to continue to show consistency to secure the job.Tayven may be inexperienced but he's been pressure-tested. Some of those plays where he just lost it, and ran backwards for 40 yards, were scary.Based on last year, he doesn't just have bad plays, he has horrible plays where it appears he has no idea what he's doing or how to do it. Pressure him, he loses his composure and bad things happen.
“Pressure tested” “won a critical game” you are DRUNK at best. At BEST.Tayven may be inexperienced but he's been pressure-tested. Dude stay in ur lane. Ur posts on recruiting r good until u comment. He didn’t lose to Syracuse he beat Washington I’d say he won a critical game that led his team to the CFP when he was needed. Nuff said“Pressure tested” “won a critical game” you are DRUNK at best. At BEST.
Are you telling us there was no pressure on back-up QB, Jackson, when an injury to the Hoosiers' star QB required him to take over in his absence? Really??!?“Pressure tested” “won a critical game” you are DRUNK at best. At BEST.
So was Joey Gatewood....how did that turn out....LOLAs I recall, he was a 4-star out of HS so the kid clearly has the skills.
There are a lot of 4-star busts. It just means the experts believe the kid's odds of success are better. Scouts can measure a lot of important things (size, weight, speed, arm strength, etc.), but they can't measure a kid's heart. So was Joey Gatewood....how did that turn out....LOL
But he won a game and helped propel Indiana to the playoffs. There are a lot of 4-star busts. It just means the experts believe the kid's odds of success are better. Scouts can measure a lot of important things (size, weight, speed, arm strength, etc.), but they can't measure a kid's heart.
FWIW, I'd rather have a young quarterback mentored by Milton and Scott than Hinshaw and Gus.
I think they upgraded at both the offensive coordinator, HC and quarterback coach position. That being said, Gus was both the head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterback coach. Gus thought of alot more from himself than others did. HS coach !!There are a lot of 4-star busts. It just means the experts believe the kid's odds of success are better. I am never in favor of a QB who can only run and not pass. Wasn't that one of Gus the Bust's offensive genius plays? Doesn't take a defensive genius very long to know it's going to be a run because your QB can't pass. May as well be a triple option team. Not a fan.Jacurri was excellent many times around the opponents 20 yard line. He had some bursting speed and moves to gain 5, 10, or 15 yards. That was one thing gus did that was pretty good I have to admit (it worked)
Running QBs are also more suseptable to fumbles.I am never in favor of a QB who can only run and not pass.
Good point. Jacurri could make some passes. Maybe he has improved. I mean it was obvious what gus was going to run when Jacurri was in. But several times it worked.I am never in favor of a QB who can only run and not pass. Wasn't that one of Gus the Bust's offensive genius plays? Gus mentoring a qb would be like Diddy mentoring an altar boyThere are a lot of 4-star busts. It just means the experts believe the kid's odds of success are better. Scouts can measure a lot of important things (size, weight, speed, arm strength, etc.), but they can't measure a kid's heart.

Triple Option Works . . . sometimes.Good point. Jacurri could make some passes. Maybe he has improved. I mean it was obvious what gus was going to run when Jacurri was in. But several times it worked.
On the surface doesn't look like much to be excited about (short at 5' 10 or 11"), 50th QB in his class, an 82 transfer ranking, but his offer list was rediculous, 23 P4 offers including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, a school up North with a crappy OC, Michigan, Mich St, Oregon, Tenn, Miss, Penn St, and Texas A&M.
I think this would be a very good "get" if we can get him.
Frost tried to recruit Jackson to Nebraska so he has known about him awhile.Tayven may be inexperienced but he's been pressure-tested. Teams had to watch Harvey AND Brown...hence why either got freed up for key runs inside the 15 yd line....as Brown had 4 rushing TDs and averaged over 7.5 yds a carry last year.Jacurri was excellent many times around the opponents 20 yard line.
