Just taking a preliminary stab at start of season (Game 1) QB depth charts for the next 3 seasons:
2016, Week 1: 1.) Holman; 2.) Kruczek; 3.) Patti; (After this season, Holman and Patti graduate).
2017, Week 1: 1.) Kruczek; 2.) Milton; 3.) DiNovo. (After this season DiNovo graduates).
2018, Week 1: 1.) Milton; 2.) Kruczek; 3.) Washington. (After this season Kruczek graduates).
Although of course more guys will be added before we get to 2018, I believe we have a good QB nucleus already. Unfortunately, I'm not sure Tyler Harris can crack the depth chart in the Frost style offense although he is an excellent passer.

Yes, very, very early. Just for conversation purposes and based on preliminary information: the Spring game, film, etc. Also, just to show that we do have competitive talent to get us through the next several years at QB, with starters and backups, while giving the new recruits time to develop.

I think Milton starts week 1 of 2017.

Decent projections...as we all know, all of the QB's need to be ready for their number to be called upon. In this crazy game, you're only one play away from bring called in and step up.

Holman all season. Kruszek starter next year. Jury still out on Hawaii kid playing weak competition
Holman will not be the starter this whole year. That would halt the progress of this program and at QB. There's no way Frost would do that. Let Holman start vs. SC State, take a beating at Michigan and that's it.

I still think Tyler and Bo are superstars. They both just caught in a regime change.
But Bortles was a shock to most everyone. No shortage of surprises in the QB world.
Harris is not a superstar. Bo may pan out at Pitt, but the guy is very slow and that sealed his fate at UCF.

We will see. All comes down to production. Frost wants to win and wants to advance his own career just as bad as development.

With a conventional drop-back QB, I'd agree. However, Holman is evasive. agile, and has a gun for an arm for the Frost-type of medium-short passing that speedy receivers can break all the way. Playing in a new system with a randomly-picked squad during the spring scrimmage, he showed he can overcome his consistency questions that plagued him. In some ways, the GOL system was a bad fit for his talents, especially when the OL became so porous.

Tyler has the mobility and arm to be good in this offense.
Mobility,?? The guy runs about a 5.0 forty and probably has never had a rush more than 5-6 yards and certainly never more than 10. When has he ever showed mobility in a game?? He was barely more mobile than Bo.

Holman didn't really show anything special in the spring game and many thought that a complete newcomer, Kruczek played better. Holman lacks the ability to make good, quick decisions and is very inaccurate. A Frost type of QB throws 2-5 interceptions in a season and Holman is capable of that in 1 game. You'll see.

I wasn't shocked at Holman (and almost every other offensive players') struggle during Spring Game. Remember, unlike in practice when it was mostly 1's vs 2's or 3's...Spring Game was split up by draft...so you have linemen playing next to each other without much practice together.

Holman's brain has to be scrambled trying to learn an entirely different system in just a few weeks...as the Frost system, when it works, means less reads by the QB, quicker decisions, shorter routes...so if Holman can master that, his INT's should go down.

Until the next UCF OL can learn to play consistently good...it will probably be mixed results for QB play in 2016, regardless who is back there.

If he can master it is the ultimate question. Personally I like the innate knowledge of a former coach/player's son (Kruczek) and/or new blood at QB.
I see a change by week 3-4, however the starter isn't set yet for game #1

Yeah, that would be the ultimate....win alot of games with Coach K's son....:)

They both have their strong suits. For a QB who can advance the ball with his feet, I like Holman. For a QB who is cool in the pocket, I like Kruczek. It doesn't seem that either is good for both situations. As much as I hate to say this, we actually may have to go with a 2QB approach for a while.

I don't care about the Spring Game so much, because all the QB's were thrown into a tough situation there. But last season, I was not impressed with Harris at all. He was really inaccurate, way less accurate than Holman. He only completed 42.6% of his passes last season, and he missed badly a lot.

Holman had a bad 2015, no doubt, but he was injured and probably shouldn't have played after breaking his hand. Plus there was no offensive protection, worst OL I've ever seen at UCF.

In 2014 as a true sophomore Holman completed 56.9% of his passes, in his first year as a starter. Not great, but not terrible. I just don't see a competition between him and Harris at this point, but who knows, maybe Harris has improved a lot.

I don't believe Holman will be the starter at the end of summer camp this year.

Why? Because if you seriously look at his ability to drive the offense down the field it's not good whether it's this offense or the previous one. He has good plays but he consistently over time fails to score points. Just look at the score of the spring game. How many points did he lead the offense to?

What's going to be interesting is if Milton, Kruzcek or the newest QB recruits are able to hold the QB position down for multiple years. The competition keeps getting better.

You're probably right. When's the last time Holman played a good game or we won a game because of him?? I keep hearing excuse after excuse. Let's get some new blood out there. The Holman era is over.

The last time Holman played a good game was back when our offensive line wasn't a collection of dead bodies.
