UCF-USF Actual Attendance

And these clowns still think playing in Ray Jay is for the best and a small OOC of about 35-50K is beneafth them. Ridiculous.
A 30-40K OCS tinker-toy set stadium isn't 'beneath them.' They just like the one with 'FAU' on it ... even though it's still based on the 'UCF' one. Kinda funny to watch them 'go in circles' when you point out those facts to them. That and how the longer they wait, the more expensive it gets. ;)

I mean ... even if UCF only gets 30 years out of its stadium, that's still beyond 2035. I have a feeling they will still be debating the OCS in 2035, as we're planning our 'replacement,' unless they get a P5 invite (with us) before then. They had better hope they are included with us ... with that pathetic fanbase and TV.

What's their average attendance without the UCF game?

Prior to this game, cows averaged only 26,000 plus in actual attendance this season or another way to look at it:

They normally play in front of 40,000 empty seats each game (not far off the capacity of Spectrum Stadium).

Cow attendance for 2018 prior to Black Friday:

UCONN 42,127

I live here in St Pete and I follow Southern just because. But since the game I have really been digging into the stadium situation. Their feasibility study concluded that a stadium like ours or FAU would not meet their fans expectations but rather a $240 mil 35k one. However, they can’t even raise the money needed for a $40 mil IDF. These people live in another world with an alternate reality. The study also concluded that fan support would increase by 50%.

Basically their plan is to make all the plans and send up smoke signals that they are committed to their sports program so they can get that P5 invite and $$$ and then build it. Once again, short sighted.

That’s also not even mentioning the fact that they pay $400k per game and do not collect any portions of the parking, concession or marketing. They do split merch sales. So at 35k because that’s how many tickets were sold at a price of $35 they only make about $800k per game. That’s less than half of what we make per home game.

That may also explain why they are so willing to do 2 for 1. They need the pay day games to stay afloat!!!

Wait a tick, they are paying an estimated 2.4 mil a year to play at Ray Jay? What the actual shit? How backwards thinking are they? So in the time they have been there since they joined the big east, they have paid over 43 million, and in about 6 years they will have surpassed how much we have paid for our stadium in overall costs for it?

And people there think this is good?

Yes, because they think it’s an advantage in recruting and they claim the game day experience is better! Fans are split on how they should move forward. Some think the reason we have passed them is in part because of the OCS, the others claim that it’s this conference that is killing them and back in 06 blah blah blah......

When the deal was originally signed back in 05 they were only paying $100k per game. Basically everyone is making money except USF! Lol
