I noticed that He always plays like a missile, throwing his body around no matter what.
sadly caught up to him and will cost him a half at Tulane
I don't understand why they called targeting on him anyway. Guess I didn't see enough of the play.
He lowered head and hit QB in his neck area while sliding. A QB when sliding is giving himself up and is defenseless. This after already hitting QB late and causing a fight on their sideline.
I def saw the late hit, that was utterly moronic. Lucky the penalties they called offset.
I feel like I see a ton of helmet to helmet hits when the QB is sliding. Being a defender, especially an aggressive one is hard these days.
One of those calls where the strict interpretation of the rule is really unfair. It was a really quick last minute slide and Perry’s helmet brushed against the QBs helmet as he went over him…..no direct hit, no launching, no solid contact.
Had the look of a makeup play for not penalizing us on the late hit…..yes, even though there should have been a few usf guys thrown out for ganging up on him.
