UCF vs FIU Game thread

Milton has 173 yards passing at halftime, 8/13. Killins has 89 yds on rushing/receiving. Wilson has a 5.5 average on 10 carries and 3 TDs. Over 300 yds. offense. Runs were 68% of the plays. Held FIU to 76 yards.

Well Michigan did have 109,000
And Oregon is a small population state. Eugene is a tiny college town. Remember that Frost comes from a small midwest town and started coaching at a directional school.

Just saw the halftime interview with Frost.

When you see the FIU stadium dirt empty like that, do you ever think Frost is like "damn, this is some little league $***." I mean, he was a top QB coach at Oregon. That place is packed, and most of the Pac12 probably pulls in good attendance numbers.

And I'm not knocking UCF. I think we pull very decent attendance numbers but our opponents suck. When we go to our conference opponent's stadiums, it's gonna be empty AF. Tulsa = empty, Temple (in the big ass Eagle stadium) = empty, etc. Especially someone like Frost. He played and was a champion at fancy Nebraska. It must be kind of depressing for him.

I get it, you want to be a head coach, you need to take whatever is out there but still. But it's like moving from a fun city like LA or NY to Oklahoma City or something lame like that (no offense to anyone from OKC).

I think he'll be very pleased if UCF keeps getting home crowds like the Maryland game

Miami is the worst sports city in America

Halftime analysis interesting. Said Milton pushes the ball, and needs to become a pitcher like Mariota. Let Milton be Milton. Our tall receivers seem to be the only ones who can bring his soft throws down.

In other news, we put up more yards against Michigan than Penn State did.

UCF: 331
Penn State: 191

And limited Michigan to less yards
UCF game: 447 yards
Penn State: 515 yards

Too bad the scores ended up being a blowout either way.

UCF 14 - Michigan 51
Penn State 10 - Michigan 49

I actually like Donovan but wtf is up with his comment? They were talking about FIU running the ball and Donovan said something like "they need to do better against running the ball, etc... it's just UCF" Kinda rude but whatever man.

I was thinking the same thing. We would smoke Penn State

Jones in and scored TD. Some here were trashing him as too slow? Did you see him on the sweep outrun the defenders? He was my favorite last year, when everyone else was injured at running back. Now up to 422 yds in the game.

good for him but it's against a deflated, defeated, and tired defense

You're right. He's faster than Killins.

Our second and third teamers aren't good enough at this point in our program to continue blowouts

Total yards: 501! Rushing: 276. We ran 72% of the time, more than even GOL did. Also, Russell caused that last fumble -- good for him!
