Worst comments in this thread are those blaming T-Will and the defense, SMU is averaging about 39 points per game and we held them to 13 in the first half. Their defense has been awful though, and we have scored 10.

This is how I feel…will always root for my AM but this is not enjoyable at all. And the worst part is that there is enough talent on offense. he is going to kill attendance and recruiting if this continues
Start the 2nd with Mikey at QB and watch SMUs defensive game plan go to hell!

The defensive gameplan all year has been about avoiding the big play and relying on the top tier red zone defense. Same thing tonight. The CBs have been doing pretty well though in 1 on 1 press coverage, I’d like to see a bit more of that to try to give us some field position
They are playing the coverages that are called. They have won nearly every 50-50 ball. Not much to hate about.
I realize that. He’s just like O’Leary. Will fall on his sword before he’d ever take out the starter he picked.
We are bleeding 10-15 yards on the edge on too many occasions. I'm sure the call is not to let the SMU wideouts catch easy first down receptions.

That last series is a perfect picture of how this season’s going to fall out. Excellent opportunity to take control and Gus calls BS plays. Bowser up the middle on 2nd and long? Brilliant.
Gus needs to run a reverse, and the reverse man needs to give it to back to Plumlee who hands off to Bowser on a run up the middle.
That's two first down plays in one. They'll never see it coming.
The D makes a great stand, and Gus pulls his circus reverse call and loses 5 on first down. Surprise: 3& out, and we fail to take advantage of the ”MO” on our side. Why didn’t he go after it the way he attacked coming out of the half?
