UCF men’s basketball takes its 2-0 American Athletic Conference record on the road to clash with league favorite and No. 15-ranked SMU on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET. The Knights (8-5, 2-0 AAC) look to snap a four-game losing streak to the Mustangs and start 3-0 in conference play for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

Sunday’s matchup will be the lone game this season against SMU (14-0, 3-0 AAC), due to the league scheduling. The Mustangs hold a 7-3 (7-6 if including vacated wins in 2009, 2010 and 2011) advantage in the all-time series and have won the last four meetings. UCF’s last victory over SMU was Jan. 26, 2013, 74-65, at CFE Arena.
Redshirt sophomore A.J. Davis has been a big contributor for the Knights this season, leading the team in points averaging 13.3 and rebounds at 5.8 per game. He is one of three players in The American ranking top 20 in points, rebounds and assists. This past Monday, Davis was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll.
Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m. ET, and the game will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
