West Virginia Opens as Underdogs at Home Against 4-6 UCF

Sat 23 | Day

45°

60%
W16 mph
Light rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. High near 45F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 60%.

Monday night, Checking Hard Rock App, UCF is a -3 point fav. Over/under is at 64.

That's a lot of points Methinks. Going 5 bucks on the under, but not betting on winner. Probably WVU gonna win. 45F degrees?!? Shrinkage....

In theory, I think the weather could play to our advantage. If anything, a cold/rainy/gusty forecast creates a net neutral advantage.

Running the ball downhill in those conditions will be ideal for us. Running the ball is WVU’s strength on offense as well, but I do think UCF is much improved stopping the run compared to how we fared against them (or pretty much anyone) last season.

But for me, our biggest struggle (by far) this season has been stopping the pass. I think the conditions could potentially help us there.

Sometimes the whole “FL kids don’t like to play in the cold” idea is a bit overplayed.

You don’t know ball.

You don’t know ball.
Oh okay lol. I thought RJ Harvey and Kobe Hudson were guaranteed to leave last year. And yet you still post here.

It’s cold, who cares it’s football. Baseball is miserable in the cold. So is golf when it’s cold/windy.

Football players are fine in cold weather. Even ones from Florida.

Here's hoping that the weather is a little less wet than forecasted for this weekend's game. I am taking the fam to see UCF play and would love to watch the game where the only anger is towards Gus and not me for planning a West Virginia, away game visit, in late November....😁

Its 45 degrees with a 15+ mph wind. It will feel 30s, if it rains then its pretty much worst weather scenario. 30s/40s rain is worse than 10 degrees and snow. Heaters aren't going to dry the uniform and pads on the sidelines, players will stay cold.

Low of 45 on Saturday. They use the same thermometers in Orlando and Morgantown. 45 is 45.

Saturday Weather:

ORLANDO: High of 65 low 45 and sunny.
MORGANTOWN: High 46 and low 37 and rainy.

There will be an almost 20 degree difference at kickoff. Add wet and lack of sun..

Anyone arguing that those two are similar just likes to argue for no reason. Those two things are not the same. Not even close.
