As I said earlier, the community was well-aware that if the videotape had caught any of them choking a man to death, they'd have been arrested within hours of the tape surfacing.

You want them to all be happy that in the wake of George Floyd's death the authorities announced the officers were...fired?

Within hours? Not necessarily but its possible. 24 hours is probably a very short timeline for anybody to be charged with murder.

I would argue that Minneapolis authorities should have detained Derek Chauvin as soon as the tape of his actions first surfaced.

I don't know what the Minnesota law is but in most states you can hold a person without charges for 72 hours. If THAT had happened, the riots that week might have been avoided. But to act like firing the guys involved somehow was supposed to satisfy everybody means you really don't 'get' the Black Lives Matter protests at all.

I have and never have had problems with protests. I have a problem with the fact that in less than 16 hours they started rioting. Most people wouldn't have even seen the video until 8AM and by 4 they were throwing bricks at cops.

The timeline? It happened at 9:30 pm. By 1 am he was declared dead. At 3am the police announced an investigation. The cops were fired before noon. By 4:30 PM the protests became violent.

Riots were started because uncivilized people thought that they should finally get out and destroy everything. No other reason for this. Inexcusable. Many of them have been found and will end up doing time, as they should
