REPORT w/ POST GAME SOUND: UCF Drops Fifth Straight Game

in next week's opponent news:

Arizona Wildcats Lose Fourth Straight Game as Bowl Chances Begin to Fade

The Wildcats move to 3-5 (1-4 in Big 12 play) on the season. The team will need to go 3-1 over their final four games to reach a bowl game for the second season in a row. They will look to continue and salvage their season as they head to Orlando, Florida, to take on the UCF Knights next Saturday at FBC Mortgage Stadium.

REPORT w/ POST GAME SOUND: UCF Drops Fifth Straight Game

The UCF Knights suffered their 5th straight defeat, this time at the hands of #11 BYU, 37-24. From the opening drive BYU controlled the ball and dominated time of possession, forcing a tired Knights defense to try to make stops time and again. Offensively, struggles at the QB position continued, causing the Knights to sputter throughout the game. Coach Gus Malzahn said afterwards that him and his staff need to evaluate everything and figure out who to play moving forward.

For BYU, Head Coach Kalani Sitake came out aggressive in his game plan, including a fake field goal, in an attempt to take the Knights out of the game. QB Jake Retzlaff made plays when they were needed the most, and continued to unbeaten season for the Cougars.

UCF Fast & Slow - BYU Edition

I was hopeful/confident after how the team played last week on the road that we would come home and build off that. I thought worst case we lose a competitive game. I didn’t expect to regress and get dominated. Again, I am finding myself blaming coaching more then the players, of course a lot of blame to go around but the slows will focus on coaching…

Hudson Injury Forced other WR's to Step Up

We should be dishing it to 7-10 guys every week. We should be using all 3 RBs 2TEs and 4-5WRs but Gus just wants to run the QB.

Harvey used to play QB maybe we will see him do it again next week. Gus wants a RB that can throw a deep ball and a screen. No slants. To be his QB. Fans want UCFast Back with us using all of our talent to move the ball. keep the D guessing, and open lanes for us to Score points.

Gus keeps looks at Box scores where we put up 200yds on the B squad and thinks we are doing fine. This is getting harder to watch each week.

Support the kids until they pull spoiled brat crap. Its not a talent problem. we have recruited at the top 2 years in a row and projected to do so again. Can Gus move to head recruiter? Can we hire a real QB coach and OC? these are basic positions on the staff.
