Kicking Game Breakdown: Colorado Game

Even if the weather was nice...this woukd be an interesting matchup due to issues with either team.

First Colorado:

Their kickoff specialist and long FG Kicker tore his ACL while making a tackle last week so he is out.

Potential shorter kickoff coukd lead to more returns for Townsend and company.

Also...their short FG kicker (and now maybe their only one) is just 3-5 on the season. He is 2-3 from 20-29 yds out and 1-2 from 40-49 yds out...made a 43 yarder).

However this kicker, transfer from Jackson St, was VERY accurate in the past 2 years:
2022 Jackson St: made 12-13 FGs as a Freshmen.
2023 CU: Hit 10-12 FGs in Boukder as a Soph.

UCF Fans know the issue with their own kicker and BLOCKING linemen and if you mix in weather, you might see both teams going for it on 4th downs more than usual in this one.

Colorado Ticket Available

My wife got called into work on Saturday and I had 2 other people pass on going to the game. I have one extra ticket in section 110. Id prefer the ticket goes to a Dungeon member instead of selling a solo ticket online. Bonus would be if someone actually sits in the seat and watches is beat down the Sanders family from the 50 yard line. Make me an offer of you're interested in the ticket

SIAP: Gata tickets email, priority points, etc.

Was anyone else caught offguard by this email about gata tickets? I didn’t even know that we had a new priority point system (black and gold?). I logged into it and see that I have zero points, which is cool, considering that I have been a football season ticket holder since ‘04, a basketball season-ticket holder since ‘07, and a baseball season ticket older since somewhere around 2011 😂 Is anyone else having this issue?

CBS Sports sublicenses Big 12 basketball games from ESPN

Press release:

New Agreement Adds to CBS Sports’ Existing Slate of At Least Six Big 12 Games Annually on CBS and Paramount+

CBS Sports Network to Televise 20 Men’s Regular-Season Basketball Games Per Year Through Sublicense Agreement with ESPN

CBS Sports and the Big 12 Conference have expanded their partnership by significantly increasing the number of Big 12 men’s college basketball games across the Network’s platforms. The multi-year deal, which runs through the 2026-27 season, is through a sublicense agreement with ESPN.

As part of its extensive regular-season schedule, CBS Sports already broadcasts a minimum of six Big 12 men’s college basketball games annually on CBS, with those games streaming live on Paramount+. This new agreement adds 20 games per year to air on CBS Sports Network to bring the total number of Big 12 men’s basketball games to at least 26 per season across CBS Sports platforms.

“CBS Sports continues to be the home for big-time college basketball and we are excited to expand our long-standing relationship with the Big 12,” said Dan Weinberg, Executive Vice President, Programming, CBS Sports. “The Big 12 is one of the nation’s signature basketball conferences with marquee schools, student-athletes and coaches along with a rich history in the sport. This is a tremendous opportunity to add 20 high-quality games from a premier conference to our schedule and we are thrilled to increase the number of Big 12 basketball games across our CBS Sports platforms.”

“Growing our presence on CBS Sports will deliver Big 12 basketball to even more fans across the country,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark. “The additional nationally televised games will continue to grow our brand as the best conference in college basketball and showcase the elite student-athletes and programs from our 16 institutions.”

CBS Sports will begin its 44th consecutive season presenting college basketball this fall with approximately 300 regular-season games across CBS and Paramount+, as well as CBS Sports Network, including 15 automatic bids to the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Tournaments. CBS Sports has been the broadcast home of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament since 1982, including a partnership with TNT Sports since 2012.

The Knights will open their Big 12 home schedule against the Colorado Buffaloes this Saturday in a nationally televised game on Fox. The Knights are well rested off of a bye week, while Colorado and Coach Prime won an overtime thriller over Baylor. UCF RB RJ Harvey is excited about the challenge the spotlight will provide as he looks to continue his hot start to the season.
