So what really happened to KJ?

Anyone know the full story?

Yes, I know he wasn’t good in the UNH game, or Colorado, or UF games. But he was pretty good against SHSU and TCU. Heck I don’t think we would have won the TCU game with any other QB.

But how does someone go from QB1 with wins including leading a big comeback, to being a healthy scratch and never seeing the field again? Like he wasn’t even warming up with the QBs. I get he wasn’t good, but he had good moments. I know his career is over and all, but it’s just rather unprecedented to go from starter to never playing again with a carousel of backups taking that spot without injury? I mean they literally trotted him out to be a captain at the coin toss of every game, but what captain has ever not played, even a little, if not injured?

What really happened? And did this series of events cause other players to reevaluate their future here? How do you go from starter and leading a big comeback to never seeing the field again?

OT: Youtube TV subscribers be aware price increase

Yea i am an advocate of changing Dungeon forum back to UCF sports only. But i wanted let you all know something:

There is pop message of upcoming new charges. New subscribers charged $65 effective today. Existing members will see starting July 30th and beyond when your subscription renews. They have added an Viacom channels of: BET, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, TV Land, and VH1

I went on my Android phone app version and found all new channels at bottom then added them and moved them toward top which will then edit your Roku TV version or however platform you stream on main tvs.

YouTube TV customers are reaming them out currently on social media. Apparently it was launched on April of 2018 to the alternative to high cost cable with no frivolous channels at $30 a month. 2 years later users are saying you added frivolous channels and more than doubled the cost.

Key pieces and young players not yet in the portal

QB - Rizk's starting experience from this year will be vital to him. He's obviously the shoe-in to start right now, and I think he did enough to be given a chance to compete for the starting role next year. Jacurri is underwhelming as a passer (the great Gustavo strikes again), but his running element does mean that he can also potentially be an option. Riley Trujillo has size and an arm, but nobody knows what he's really capable of.

RB - Is Myles staying or going? He's the guy, and in fairly limited touches he was super effective. I think his skillset works really well for a Frost scheme, not just running between the tackles but on screens and sweeps. Otherwise it's a young and unproven room, but with Kam Martin's departure, who knows how much of this room stays here.

TE - It's the Kylan Fox show until proven otherwise. Frost has done well with some undersized/tweener type of tight ends, so as long as Fox proves to be a reliable receiving target, I think he does well even with his likely limited blocking skillset. Does Grant Stevens get some run here?

WR - Young bucks, step on up. Bredell Richardson, Kason Stokes, and Jordyn Bridgewater, and 3 incoming freshmen. Somebody has to emerge here, right? And this also seems to be a portal priority, as well.

OL - BFY (big ****ing yikes). Rubelt at RT, Flynn at C, and a hodgepodge of other NGEs currently. By far the weakest position group on the team.

DT - John Walker SZN? My initial theory is he's currently not in the portal so he's still able to use UCF's facilities to recover, but does he actually plan to play here next year? More young guys on the roster are going to have to step up here, but we do have young bodies here that were sought after coming out of high school.

EDGE - Not bad depth wise currently, starters in Malachi Lawrence and Nyjalik Kelly, Jamaal Johnson has gotten some snaps, and Isaiah Nixon could be ready to play more as he comes into his redshirt sophomore season.

LB - Xe'ree Alexander is a dawg, and was one of my favorite players on this defense from this season. Ford, Harris, McCormick, Birdsong...what will be the pecking order among those four? Ford has barely sniffed playing time and may be NGE. Harris flashed in the spring and sparingly played. McCormick and Birdsong are complete unknowns.

DB - Braeden Marshall is really the only known quantity here, and he's been more of a slot corner than a boundary player. Lots of young unknowns in here. Cedrick Hawkins, TreQuon Fegans, Jaylen Heyward, Jakob Gude, Christian Peterson, and Jeshad Presley...All were moderately to highly touted coming out of high school, so there's talent here. But again, completely unknown.

K/P/LS - who really knows here...

Have to imagine UCF isn't going to be as selective with players coming out of high school, so I expect next year's incoming freshman class to be close to 30, especially considering the current state of the roster.

Scott really does have his work cut out for him. I just hope the fanbase doesn't turn on him before he's able to build the roster his way.

***Official Roth Tower Construction Photo Thread***

Figured it would be really cool to have an official Roth Tower Construction thread that's ongoing for the next 18 months until completion. We had one for the stadium construction I believe in 2006 and was really fun to watch. @Brandon It would be cool to pin this like we have for a few other ongoing threads of large participation and interest. If not, all good. :)

I'll start by including some of the exterior renders that are approved and what it will look like. Thanks!
