Where is Mr. Sim?

Ill be honest i checked out after 5 straight disasterous losses and i think my sim guy did too. But now that we have accumulated two wins and more positive data id love to see a sim for us versus TT and also Houston.

Espn fpi has us at 47-48% to win which is fair for a road game. They had us at about 51% against osu.

I think we are at 83-84% against houston at home.

Mr. Sim! We need your expertise!

RECAP: UCF Men's Basketball drops a tough game to Ole Miss

The UCF Knights Men's basketball team dropped a close non-conference game at home against Ole Miss, 70-68. The Knights had a tough day shooting the ball, but kept the game close with some timely defense and scoring off of turnovers.

UCF head coach Johnny Dawkins knows that his team will have to get used to this level of competition once they hit the Big 12 schedule.

Congrats to former UCF QB Ryan Schneider (Head Coach) in Cocoa Tigers State Championship!

Cocoa High won its sixth FHSAA Class 2S state football championship Friday at Bragg Memorial Stadium on the campus of Florida A&M, 20-6, after spotting Bradford the first touchdown.

“We didn’t play great. I kind of called some crappy calls and put us in some bad spots,” Tigers head coach Ryan Schneider said, “but we talk all the time about handling adversity, and we did a good job handling it, staying focused as a team.”

The Pro-Life Movement - Post-Roe v Wade

The SCOTUS didn't make it illegal. They dumped it back in the laps of the states.
That's right, this abortion business -- as Republicans have told us over and over -- is a STATES RIGHTS issue! If Red States want to ban abortion, the SCOTUS said they CAN by golly! (Yeah, human rights in this country has always been a States Rights issue.) ;) :)

But what's happened since Roe v Wade got overturned? Voters across the country (in both Red and Blue States) have said in a loud, clear and indisputable voice that they want abortion protections.

With last night's verdict in Ohio and a flood of similar abortion protection measures hitting the ballots of other States in 2024, guess what our MAGA crowd is saying now? Washington DC politicians and Republicans on the POTUS Debate stage have decided what this country REALLY needs to do is push for a FEDERAL abortion ban.

You can't make this stuff up.

***Indiana TE Lane Wadle loves UCF visit: 'It's a family environment'***

A tight end from Indiana has emerged on UCF's 2024 recruiting radar.

Lane Wadle of Greenfield-Central (Ind.) recently decommitted from Georgia Tech and immediately saw a flurry of new interest, including the Knights.

"When I posted about my decommitment from Georgia Tech, (UCF) coach (Cory) Giddings and coach (Andrew) Blaylock both reached out to me. They said they loved my film. Then I got on the phone with (tight ends) coach (Brian) Blackmon a few times over the last week."

Greenfield-Central just finished their season on Friday night, losing in the state playoffs.

"We actually had the best season at our school since 1975," Wadle said. "It was really good for the community. We ended up 9-2. We're in a super competitive conference. We went 8-1 in conference play and only lost to New Palestine (both in the regular season and playoffs). They produce a lot of Division I talent."

Wadle and his family took an early flight to Orlando in order to be on campus for the 12 noon homecoming game against West Virginia.

"I had a great time," Wadle said. "We used to go down to Florida every year. We have family down in Naples and would come to Orlando for the theme parks. A few of the recruiting coaches showed me around campus. It was very beautiful. I loved how close the athletic dorms were to the football facilities. And also how close the engineering building is. That's what I plan to major in. For how big the school is, the campus doesn't seem too big. Ohio State has a huge campus. I liked how compact it was, everything was close in proximity."

The game experience was also special.

"On the way down, my dad and I knew it was called the Bounce House and we weren't quite sure what that meant," Wadle said. "I was talking to Coach Blaylock before the game and he said the whole place gets jumping. With us being right next to the student section, our seats were shaking. Everybody was jumping up and down. The atmosphere was really good. It was super good energy. I loved it. The atmosphere was amazing."

Wadle got the official offer afterward.

"My dad and I had a nice meeting with Coach Blackmon," Wadle said. "That's when he broke the news. They're looking to bring in an in-line, true blocking tight end. I can still stretch the field, but I'd primarily be a blocking tight end. I'm super physical. That's one thing he loved about my tape, how physical I was. That's the thing I take a lot of pride in. He said I'd be used similar to Alec Holler."

Wadle has scheduled an official visit to Georgia State on Dec. 8. UCF also wants him to come back for an OV, likely in early December.

Auburn, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and Michigan State are among the other interested schools that have reached out.

UCF though is weighing heavily on his mind.

"I loved all the coaches that I met - Coach (Gus) Malzahn, Coach Blackmon, Coach Blaylock and Coach Giddings," Wadle said. "It seems like such a family environment, especially in the tight end room. It's like a big family. Coach Blackmon is a great guy, just from what we talked about, what he stands for and how he operates. It's a family environment, just really awesome down there."

Wadle plans to be an early enrollee.

***QB Grayson McCall visiting UCF***

tkyqud1az9zinkjusohl

One of the top quarterbacks in the transfer portal is visiting UCF.

Coastal Carolina's Grayson McCall, the three-time Sun Belt Player of the Year, will be in Orlando this weekend in addition to a visit to NC State. The back-to-back trips were first reported by Pete Nakos of On3.

McCall is the most-accomplished player in Coastal history with 10,005 career passing yards, 88 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. His career completion percentage is 70 percent.

During his four years as starter (2020-23), Coastal became one of the darlings of the Group of Five. McCall, who is 32-8 as a starter, began to generate national attention during the COVID year of 2020. A quickly-arranged game between No. 14 Coastal and No. 8 BYU, a 22-17 victory by the Chanticleers, drew 1.2 million viewers on ESPNU. Coastal finished the year as co-champions of the Sun Belt.

In three seasons (2020-22) playing for head coach Jamey Chadwell and his spread-option offense, McCall was incredibly productive, passing for an average of 2,687 yards while racking up three consecutive Sun Belt Player of the Year awards.

He was also one of PFF's highest-graded quarterbacks nationally, posting season grades of 92.4 (2020), 91.0 (2021) and 86.8 (2022).

Chadwell departed for Liberty last offseason and McCall remained in Conway under new head coach Tim Beck, who transitioned the Chanticleers to more of a pro-style and Air Raid offense. McCall passed for 1,919 yards in seven games, seeing his season cut short following a brutal hit during Coastal's Oct. 21 game at Arkansas State. As McCall was sliding, a defender made a helmet-to-helmet hit which knocked him unconscious. He missed Coastal's final five games.

UCF is aiming for an experienced quarterback in the portal to replace John Rhys Plumlee. The Knights had also been linked to Texas Tech quarterback transfer Tyler Shough, who committed to Louisville on Tuesday.

McCall is originally from the Charlotte area, graduating from Porter Ridge High School in 2019. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.

How Does NIL Come to Fruition?

I’m very interested in actually knowing how the mechanics happen. For example, does the staff have to make contact with a kid, give some kind of thumbs-up, and then the kid is shuffled-off to the NIL group to see what they can offer him? Can the NIL group offer a kid first, thus meaning he should pursue a trip to see if the program wants them?

I mean, these two “organizations” are not supposed to be in cahoots with one-another but how could they not be, in order to present better options to a kid.

Can the staff take the kid off campus for lunch, and then kind of leave him there and magically people from the NIL group show up to talk to the kid?

It all just wreaks of shenanigans….
