The polls we need to watch for AAC title game...

What I have gleaned so far:

So far for this weekends action ending 11/19/22:
Anderson & Hester: Tulane #26, Cincy #32, UCF #35, Houston #49
Billingsley: Cincy #18; Tulane #21; UCF #34; Houston #47
Colley: Tulane #25, Cincy #26, UCF #29, Houston #45
Wolfe: Tulane #24, Cincy #30; UCF #35, Houston #43

If someone knows something different, let us know.

Gus is 6-1 after a loss at UCF

But on a serious note, this team is not very good. It falters every time its back isn't against the wall.

Still the game plan could have been a lot better.

A blind man could have realized that Navy had the No. 6 rushing defense in America and UCF would need to alter its attack before the game.

When you "do what you do," you "get what you get."

Mikey Keene should have played the whole game against Navy. Tanner Mordecai threw for 336 and three touchdowns. The Knights had to get into a shoot out with Navy to win.

But for the record, I said "take Navy and the points and play the under."

Lastly, the chances now are looking slim to none that UCF wins the AAC this year. This team does not deserve the opportunity to get embarrassed on a national stage.

Official Computer Rankings Thread

Ok I know there have been some of these bouncing around other threads and @CommuterBob had some in his thread but it got mixed in with some other polls, so I thought it made sense to put them all in here. At least the ones that matter ((Anderson & Hester, Billingsley, Colley and Wolfe) I personally do not think CFP will have us ranked and nor should they so let's look at these.

ANDERSON and HESTER updated -
UCF - 35
Cincinnati - 31
Tulane - 26.

Billingsley
UCF 34
Tulane 21
Cincy 18
Houston 47

Colley
UCF 29th
Tulane 25th
Cincy 26th
Houston 45th

Wolfe
UCF 35th
Cincy 30
Tulane 24th
Houston 43rd

I assume it would be average of the rankings which would be.

UCF 33.25
Tulane 24
Cincy 26.25
Houston 45 (Not a factor)

Teams to root for to boost computer ranking
  • GT vs UGA lol nvm
  • UL @ kentucky slight underdog
  • FAU vs WKU 7 point underdog
  • Memphis beating SMU could help since we beat Memphis and Cincy did not play them.

Teams to root against
  • Obviously Houston 12 point favorites vs Tulsa.
  • Arkansas 4 point favorite vs Mizzou
  • K-State 12 point favorites vs Kansas
  • Indiana 10 point dogs to Purdue
  • Miami (Oh) 3 point favorites vs Ball State
  • Southern miss 3 point favorites vs ULM

Major Flaw In Our Tiebreaker Analysis?

I was looking through things and think we may be misunderstanding the tiebreaker procedure.

You can’t really read 7.4’s last sentence as ever applying in any scenario when you also have the 7.5 scenarios. And, it seemed weird to me that the 2020 rules refer to the various options for championship games. I wondered, would the 7.5 be necessary in any year not a COVID year?

Sure enough, 2020 was weird guys. The “final weekend of the conference regular season” only featured 2 teams.

Part of me is starting to think that 7.4 is going to apply and whoever is higher in the CFP next Tuesday gets in. The rules clearly call for “subsequent CFP rankings to be considered under 7.4. I can’t see how that provision would be relevant if 7.5 were going to apply.
