Chilling Stat: Our Cornerbacks have NOT made an INT since November 20, 2021 (331 days and counting)

Our last CB to get an INT was Justin Hodges against UCONN, last year?? Our defensive line has more INT's than our CB's during that span.... Shit, this year, our D-line and LB's have more passes deflections than our CB's?

Kinda hard when you're always playing 10-15 yards off the line. When do you ever seen us play some one and one, bump and run. And when we're finally in good position to make a play, butter fingers....

***Top recruits expected in the Bounce House for UCF-Cincinnati ⚔🏈

UCF's biggest home game of the year will also be a major recruiting event.

The Knights will play host to dozens of unofficial visitors, including prior commitments and top targets, when Cincinnati visits the Bounce House for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday.

Four of UCF's five home games to this point have been played on weekdays, which has been less than ideal from a recruiting standpoint. The visitors will be able experience homecoming weekend and a sold-out crowd.

Seven of UCF's 11 Class of 2023 commitments are expected, including DT John Walker, DE Kaven Call, LB Troy Ford Jr., CB Braeden Marshall, OL Jamal Meriweather, TE Randy Pittman and K Grant Reddick.

Several top 2023 targets will be in Orlando such as QB Malachi Singleton, RB Kendrick Raphael, RB Montravious Lloyd, WR Cayden Lee, DE DeeJay Holmes, S Jaremiah Anglin, WR Lamar Seymore, CB Ethan Nation, CB Jason Duclona, CB Jonas Duclona and DT Markus Strong.

Singleton was UCF's No. 1 QB target and had the Knights near the top of his list before choosing Arkansas last spring. He was also in attendance at UCF's prior home game against Temple.

Kendrick Raphael was a one-time commitment to Iowa.

Montravious Lloyd is currently committed to Pittsburgh.

UCF has yet to secure a wide receiver commitment in the 2023 class and Cayden Lee is at the top of the board. Lamar Seymore took an official visit to UCF this past summer before committing to Pittsburgh. Could Seymore be re-evaluating his decision?

DeeJay Holmes remains the No. 1 target for UCF's "buck" position. He officially visited during the summer and has said he would announce his decision on early signing day in December.

Jaremiah Anglin of Lake Wales included UCF in his top six before announcing for Kentucky in August.

Ethan Nation, a four-star prospect, has remained open and has not taken any official visits.

The Duclona brothers will also be on hand. UCF has been heavily involved with Jason, a prior commitment to Rutgers.

Markus Strong of Union County has seen some major attention during his senior season, picking up recent offers from UCF, Maryland, Memphis, South Florida and Georgia Tech. He missed his junior year with an injury.

There's some serious star power in the 2024 class as well. Among the top names expected include RB David Eziemume, OL Eddy Pierre-Louis, OL William Sanders, TE Michael Smith, TE Colton Heinrich, DT Xavier Porter, DT Nate Gabriel, DE Kendall Jackson, DE Solomon Williams, LB Devin Smith, LB Wendell Gregory, DB Brayshon Williams, DE A.J. Pigford, DB Christian Peterson and DB Brandon Jacob.

Profiles and more names below:

Guys who aren't playing

I checked the participation chart for the season, and a bunch of scholarship players haven't played a snap this season.

Joey Gatewood -- Gus could move him back to QB and red shirt Thomas Castellanos. (Just kidding!)

LBs TerrAnce Lewis -- may never play a down for UCF -- and Quade Mosier -- how long is he going to milk that injury?

QBs Will Bohn, Mikey Keene, and Brock Hansel

DE Malachi Lawrence -- Dude had a huge fumble return against SCS, Gus called him "Malachi Singleton," and I haven't seen him since. What gives?

OL Patrick Burnett and Adrian Medley -- both quintessential chicken eaters

WRs Amari Johnson -- legitimately injured, will return -- and Quan Lee -- overrated or more worried about making NIL money than practicing football or both?

RBs Anthony Williams -- hard to get snaps on this team -- and MAR, who is apparently invisible. He has played in virtually every game, but I haven't seen him and he hasn't recorded a stat.

On a side note....

LB Kam Moore, DE Jamaal Johnson, S Demari Henderson, S William Wells, and WR Stephen Martin will see their playing time increase in coming weeks.

Lastly, Javon Baker's production may slack off as teams delegate their No. 1 corner on him. O'Keefe will face the slot corner and continue to put up steady numbers and lead the team in receptions from now on. Kobi Hudson, however, will take off as the No. 3 receiver because he is superior to every opponent's No. 2 corner.

OT: Utah QB Cam Rising didn't start, FS1 was pissed they weren't told

We laugh about John Canzano but I thought this was an interesting read.

I like Whittingham. I think he’s a solid human and a great coach. The fact that he won on the road with a multitude of back-ups on Thursday night is a testament to his skill and leadership. But the FS1 crew felt misled and the start to the broadcast made the Pac-12 look amateurish.

“Even if you didn’t get a heads up in the meeting, you should get a call from the sports information director — basically, the PR department — before the game,” Papadakis said. “Just so we can run out the right kid, with the right graphics and the right celebration. And get that moment right for that young man and this moment in Utah football history, with a new starter coming out.

“None of that happened.”

The NFL has an injury-report protocol. It’s heavily monitored by gamblers. College football has no such system. There’s no uniformity. Some coaches will be candid. Others don’t a peep. But the broadcast partner isn’t usually the last to know.

The FS1 show opened on Thursday. The teams kicked off. Then, the cameras focused on Utah’s tight offensive huddle on the sideline. And Rising’s photo and stats popped up on the screen.

The broadcasters began to talk about the star quarterback’s accomplishments. Then, the FS1 director got in the ear of the camera operators, shouting, “Where’s Rising?!? Find Rising!! Find Rising!!”

It's time for the Sytia Messer era at UCF. The former Tennessee Tech head coach and Baylor assistant assumed leadership of the women's basketball program this past spring. She enters her first season in Orlando with a mix of returners such as Destiny Thomas and Asia Todd and transfers like Anzhané Hutton, Mya Burns and Rachel Ranke.

Messer said their team motto is "Won't Stop."
