Mar 1 - Stetson
Mar 11-12 - UNF
Mar 13 - @ UNF
Mar 16 - Miami
Mar 22-23 - @ FSU (yet again 🙄)
Mar 29 - FAU
Apr 1-3 - cowpies
Apr 5 - @ FAU
Apr 12 - @ Jacksonville
Apr 14-16 - ECU
Apr 19 - Jacksonville
Apr 22-24 - @ Wichita St
Apr 29 - May 1 - Tulane
May 6-8 - @ cowpies
May 11 - @ Miami
May 13-15 - @ Houston
May 19-31 - Cincinnati

Memphis hasn't released their schedule yet, either, but I assume we'll play up there Apr 8-10.

I also noticed the gaturds seem to ok with scheduling 1-and-1's with Stetson and UNF, but will only schedule us in Gainesville? Ok.

Oh, and Great job by Lovelady bending over to FSU and only playing in Tallahassee yet again. He hasn't been able to get them in Orlando since 2017. 🙄

Oregon goes full on soft-racism in their schools

It's not fair to people of color to have to pass reading, writing, and math to get a high school diploma.

Might as well just stop teaching those subjects and replace them with classes on how to pick cotton.

Mike Leach: Players opting out 'one of the biggest absurdities that I've seen'

Spot on, ......even nailed "THE PLACE"

“You’ve got an obligation to the place that helped build and develop you and finish it out in the bowl,” Leach said. “That’s part of it. You owe it to your team, you owe it to your fans, you owe it to your coaches and it’s the most bizarre thing in the world to me.

Uber to and from RayJay?

My plan is to just Uber from my hotel to and from the game. Not too concerned about going but I guess I am a little concerned about after the game. Does anybody know if there is a specific ride share pickup/drop off area at RayJay? Is it going to be a major issue after the game? Are there any regular Taxis that line up after the game? I really don’t want to drive the few miles and have to deal with parking and worrying about how much I drink.

🏀 UCF recruiting local 2023 guard 🏀

...Eduardo Placer, a 2023 guard at Windermere Prep. He was previously at The Master's Academy.

He has already been on an unofficial to UCF and will likely take another UOV to watch a UCF practice soon. UCF was out to see him recently as was Illinois.

Placer is a skilled, lanky, lefty combo guard, who can dribble, pass and shoot it. He is an above average athlete. I really like his feel for the game and, at 6-foot-4, he has good size for a point guard.

Current offers are FAU, UNF and Southeast Louisiana BUT I think he's got a chance to be really good.

When he's healthy I do think he is Big XII good. He's been bothered by jumpers knee for a while but he was finishing above the rim before that.

First time I saw him was in March at an exposure event and after three possessions I was looking him up in my media packet.

***Four-star RB Jamie Felix: 'I could see myself playing at UCF'***

One of the top running backs in the country visited UCF on Tuesday.

Jamie Felix, a four-star prospect from Camden County (Ga.), spent most of the day on campus getting to know the staff.

"(Assistant running backs coach) Kam Martin toured me around and I spent a lot of time with (running backs) coach (Tim) Harris too," Felix said. "We talked a lot about the football side of things. We did a cool photoshoot and after that I got talk to Coach (Gus) Malzahn. It was amazing."

What stood out?

"The campus, honestly," Felix said. "The campus is really nice. Huge. The stadium is a good place to play. They were telling me how loud it gets and stuff like that."

Felix had already been building a relationship with Harris, so it was good to finally meet him in person.

"Coach Harris is like a legend in Florida," Felix said. "He's a good coach. He was telling me how Coach Malzahn is basically a running backs coach too. He said there's no better place to play in the country if you're a running back."

Malzahn and Felix had actually crossed paths before.

"We met during my freshman year when he came to Camden," Felix said. "He was at Auburn obviously and we didn't really talk again until he got the UCF job. I'm a tough running back that's played through injuries and he said he liked that about me because running backs are going to be banged up a lot. He said that showed a lot about me. He also told me that he coached two Heisman finalist running backs. That meant a lot. There's no better place to be a running back."

Felix has an additional recruiter in UCF quarterback commit Thomas Castellanos.

"We're real close," Felix said. "He lives like 45 minutes away so we chop it up a lot and hang out. He wants me to come to UCF with him."

His other offers include Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, LSU, Ohio State, Nebraska, Tennessee and many others.

Felix said UCF is right up there.

"I like the area," Felix said. "It's beautiful. They told me Orlando gets like 200-plus days of sunshine. I really want to go where it's kind of hot. I don't like the cold. I couldn't play every day in the cold. I could see myself playing at UCF."

In addition to UCF, Felix said Georgia Tech, Florida, South Florida and Penn State are among the schools recruiting him the hardest. He plans to visit GT on Thursday.

"I'm looking for a family atmosphere," Felix said. "Coaches that are like a family and take me in. If I gel, we gel and we'll get a lot of stuff accomplished."

Felix hopes to have a decision later this summer prior to his senior season.

Freshmen seasons: Milton vs. Gabriel vs. Keene

-Milton (10 starts, team record was 4-6):
1,983 yards, 57.7 completion percentage, 10 TDs, 7 INTs, 25 sacks
-Gabriel (12 starts, team record was 9-3):
3,653 yards, 59.3 completion percentage, 29 TDs, 7 INTs, 22 sacks
-Keene (9 starts, team record is 6-3):
1,586 yards, 63.6 completion percentage, 16 TDs, 6 INTs, 15 sacks
*one more contest to go

These numbers are presented without narrative, more or less just to get conversation going. Obviously context matters here - all three players had different coaching staffs, offensive schemes, roster surrounding them, etc. during their respective freshmen seasons.

And this doesn’t include rushing yards, where Milton was able to post 158 yards (1.6 ypc) in 2016, significantly more than Gabriel and/or Keene during their freshmen seasons.
